Most of us do still play, it's just... the game doesn't give you much to talk about when you're not in person with someone else playing. The only real purpose the thread has nowadays is for us to ask for trades.

When a villager replaces a rare piece of furniture with something else, they never seem to offer it up for sale later, unlike with common furniture. It kinda sucks.

it's still in their inventory
some super-rare items can't be placed for sale in Re-tail and it seems this limitation also affects the villagers.

At least it's consistent.

What do you mean with rare piece of furniture? Can you give me an example?

Sloppy furniture, for example. I gave a Sloppy Sofa to one of my villagers because it'd look great in her house, and later she replaced it later with a fish I gave her. I knew I'd probably never see it again when I gave it to her
