My ninja 250 (2005) is making a weird ass noise when I get finished riding. It sounds like a huge fucking fan is blowing. Like a PC fan turned up to 200% is blowing hard. It stops about 30 seconds after I turn off the engine

Your still a fucking troll. Your radiator has a fan on it to cool it when you're not moving fast enough to get cool air onto your radiator. Its to cool it off. Do you turn your bike off with the key or killswitch?

Mate I don't know the first thing about how a motorcycle works. This bike is 11 years old with an odometer discrepancy, it could be anything. I also can't get it to idle without the choke on 25% or so, so who knows. I turn it off with the killswitch usually but the key more recently (and when I noticed the noise)

Also the carb needs to be clean/tuned. The carb could just need a quick adjustment on the idle screw. That would fix your no idle without choke problem but your lack of knowledge will betray you. Need to take it a mechanic.

No I bought 1/16" steel and cut it down to a rectangle of appropriate size, bent it a bit to ~45*. Used same license plate mount from original fender.

Is the maintenance and having to replace parts on an XT350 anything to worry about? There's not really an aftermarket and hunting ebay for overpriced used parts sucks. It'd be a first bike.

Also looking at a TW200 which would be way easier to get parts for but lacks power for longevity and hooligan fun.

They are rough to walk or do anything not involving sitting on a bike.

But poweranger, so I wear them.
