Y'know. I think what bothers me the most about Archfiend is that it sounds like 4kids shit. Except it actually IS 4kids shit.

For Yugioh, the monster type in English is called 'Fiend' because they didn't want kids playing a card game with demons in it right? So, by changing it to Archfiend, it actually ends up sounding... immature. Because censoring demon with fiend was a really common thing. It gives the impression of censoring a game meant for people over the age of 18.

Wasn't it censored in DQ that way, for much the same reason? Because they didn't want a game with demons in it in fear of moral guardians? And that's what's being referenced by calling them Archfiends.

The Yugioh comparison doesn't help at all with 5D, you know?

Definite date probably won't be for a couple months, unless this assets upscaling becomes really troublesome and delays it into 2017.

Most of it isn't upscaling but the original assets.

Whatever it is hope it gets input into the game in a timely manner without causing major delays because that is presumably the only hang up they'd have right now.

If they're serious about the upscaling, they may be doing something with the game engine. Don't forget it's a 3D title.

It still has to be done, and they have to make sure it doesn't cause bugs. Which means debugging. Maybe it is easy to do, but they still need to make sure it all goes in correctly including text. That takes time.
