Sometimes when I'm driving on the freeway I feel like my car is reviving high. Then I realize I never shifted onto my top gear.

Money shifting won't really hurt your gearbox. It will destroy your motor though.

Obd1 or obd2? I have a p28 auto ecu laying around here somewhere and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to chip it and lower the redline somehow. That's a lot of work to fix something that isn't a huge issue though.

I did this the first week I got my car. Luckily I was coming to an off ramp so I had managed to slow down enough that I didn't redline. The wheels locked the fuck up for a second tho. Kept control and went along my merry way. Fords 4.6 is a hell of an engine, can take quite the fucking beating.
