The official translation is missing details that were in the original patch notes. Specifically, the Perseverance buff is for great hammers, not all hammers.

First level is free, gives your first sigil (1 hollowing per death)

Next level is at 2 hollowing (two deaths), now 2 hollowing per death

Tried curved greatswords, way too slow and got interrupted a lot.

Tried curved sword, seems i got good damage, also got parried a lot, they could do fine for a secondary wepon tough.

Haven't tested Scythes, but looking at videos they seem awfull.

That's because you're trying to look for dex weapons by type. Look for weapons that have dex scaling in what is normally a str or Q weapon type and you might find something.

You can try double curved swords, they're pretty fun. Otherwise, spears, yeah, but they're strength and dex.

Maybe great lances and halberds, but they're hard to use in PvP.

What is the most foolproof way to cut Priscilla's tail without potentially fucking the game up? I'm on NG+ and am hoping that using Power Within, Red Tearstone Ring, and Sunlight Blade on my Great Scythe +15 with 40 dex and 50 faith will get me the tail in one shot without killing her, but I don't know. I'd hate to lose this character.
