To all you anons who were talking about a Persona in a 90s Captain Planet cartoon style: I hate you all. I can't get the idea out of my head.

I can just see it: five high schoolers in an all-American town (sans giant shinto shrine) get gifted mysterious rings they can call up these things called Personas. The hot-headed jock (Agi) gets the ruby ring and Pyro Jack or something like Surya but Americanised. The blonde girl (Bufu) gets a diamond ring and Jack Frost because he's adorable. The black guy (Magna) gets a jet ring and Airgetlam. The Asian girl (Garu) gets the topaz ring and something that looks like an Oriental dragon like Ryume but puts out wind. The nerdy bloke (Zio) gets a sapphire ring and Take Mikazuchi because he's a computer nerd and computers run on electricity. Hama and Mudo are right out of course since no references to Holy or Darkness can be made.

The big bad is a Kandori-like tycoon who uses his own demon (of course the D word is not mentioned) minions to cause trouble to the townspeople and the crew has to stop his nefarious schemes every episode whilst learning a valuable lesson about something.

Oh holy hell, I sort of wish this would have been a real cartoon. It would have fully embodied the "let's turn hardcore action heroes into milquetoasts". The kind of move that turned the GI Joe/Action Force comics into a cartoon where everyone fired a colour-coded laser rifle (blue for Joes, red for Cobra, and sometimes the beam changed colour when a Joe picked up a Cobra weapon) and everyone parachuted out of stricken fighters and even helicopters.

I just do what I do for most of the games I need to come up with names: open the Megamek name generator lists into a text editor, go to the appropriate nationality sections, select nice-sounding first name and surname from the lists, apply to game.
