Some DAI demos showed a night-time Western Approach and JoH had a night map, but just shifting from day to night a la DA2 isn't the same as watching the sunset or waiting until the midday to head to less illuminated areas

I don't know, I just have a single character for New Vegas and TES games and still haven't discovered all there is to find in them. I can't imagine trying to start anew and losing all the progress

The problem with NV is that it's pretty linear until you reach Novac. My memory is also pretty fuzzy about how it goes when the paths for different factions start splitting, but everything up to Novac feels pretty limited in terms of freedom
