THE WIND IS PUSHING ME

Do I remember this wrong, but don't the female bandits have a merchant?

Why are the best looking weapons not necessarily the best ones?

A lot of the BBI weapons looks rahter bad. The rapier is the best looking sword

Most of the BBI weapons look bad though, Cursed Bite/Light looks better than Devilsbane.

Where the fuck can I find Griffins during post-game? I swear to god, I've ben traveling to hillfigure knoll and back from Gran Soren, and nothing pops out, except the usual drake.

killing gobbos usually helps lure them down always took me a few tries but eventully I got one

Are there even goblins in that area?

Need some help getting some rift crystals.
Mage 199 QUIN.

I need some rift points for that sweet BB gear

Which mod let's me use the slow mo?

Will look her up.

I can't seem to find her. Any ideas?

Yeah I think there should be some near where the chimera is in pre post-game or roughly where this image is and near the miners village outside the quarry.

...

Post pictures, no feet though.

INTO THE CLOUDS AGAIN

Anyone want a hire? I'm level 130 doing BBI. (stema)

I may or may not play dressup with your pawn.

This old man's skinny arms are all yours, should you desire.

cool beans
I don't have much time to play so expect him in like a week

You can hire this knight if you want.

>Guardian
Goddamn Merlin quit sticking your head up my ass.

May B.

don't die yet

Fuck. Either the power port or the motherboard power chip decided to die in my computer 'cause it doesn't charge anymore. Gonna be a while without computer. Take care of Octavia, level 112 or 114 fighter, while I'm gone.

Whats better for balanced gains?
Fighter
Warrior
Assassin

I know Strider is the true balanced option, but I want something with a physical lean to it.

It seems fighters can use Shield Storm the same way Silver/Golden Knights and Living Armor do – as a counter attack to enemy swings blocked by their shields. If you were looking for a fighter pawn, /ddg/, and assuming you're okay with them having one or more active shield skills, would you like them to have this move or not?

Any useful things a new player should know about? There are a multitude of items and it's a little overwhelming, especially since some of them spoil over time. Useful items I should be attempting to get early on, inclinations to avoid having on my Pawn, things I should stock up on, etc.

I am absolutely loving how exploration is rewarded so much in this game.

is there a way to get good amounts of discipline points and/or ranking up vocations early in the game?
i'm still doing the 4 wyrm quests and god damn the cyclops on fortress besieged completely destroyed my party

Don't keep portcrystals in your inventory, put them outside of areas you might return to. They allow you to teleport to them when you use a ferrystone.
Southwest of the Windbluff Toweryou may find a healing spring. Use empty flasks there to get one of the most powerful curatives early in the game. Early on almost every enemy is weak to fire. And remember, wolves hunt in packs.

Go from Cassadis to the Shadow Fort. DP are better earnt if you kill lots of small enemies rather than big ones, and on your way there you should find a lot of bandits and goblins

Ur dragon on Grace period goyim

if your apples or grapes become mold, combine them with water flask and see what happens.

TIME TO BBI 2.0 HAHAHA

PC?

They do not. Not even Reynard shows up out there.

Which is probably a good idea for him, since they'd gank him.

What? Carry a portcrystal around with you at all times in the early parts of the game. This will let you put it down where ever you happen to be when you need to make a side trip back to Gran Soren/Cassardis/BBI and then teleport back to pick up where you left off.

After you have enough extra portcrystals to deploy that you don't have to run halfway across the map to get literally anywhere, sure, you don't really need one in your inventory anymore, but being able to ferrystone back and forth from Gran Soren to put stuff in storage, heal, change vocations, or hire new pawns on the fly is really helpful early on.

What is the most Paladin like helm around? Just the Barreled Helm?

Yes.

Thanks, user.

make me

Near the shadow fort is a crapton of goblins and saurians.

Hm, is there any reason why /ddg/ was revived? Some exciting news or it's just old band grouping together?

I think I've settled on my final Arisen and Pawn
Male Mystic Knight Arisen
Female Ranger Pawn

Find the flaw in this setup

There was a sale recently, I believe.

So I was exploring off the beaten path and I ran into that dragon from the beginning. Even after several seconds of wailing on the thing I don't think I managed to take off more than two or three pixels from his health bar. I figured it was some kind of event that I had to lose to trigger a cutscene but nope. Fucker straight up murdered and mocked me and I got to enjoy some nice loading time.

Am I expected to just avoid that area right now? I ran away from him once and shortly after I passed through and he was there again.

A sudden influx of new players to the game/series
I don't mind. It's made me want to replay. Again.

is there any way to trigger escort quests? i want that escort quest where you can get Gryphic Victory but i've never seen the quest at all

on another note, what happens if you fail an escort quest? i remember taking an escort quest and it failed, thing is i don't remember which quest it was

This quest's availability is determined by Ser Berne's affinity with the Arisen.

Also board could be filled with other quests thus making it impossible for other quests to appear. Not sure about this tho

oh shit i forgot about affinity
how do i increase it? just gift him some items?

and if it's high enough would it instantly appear on the notice board or do i need to finish some escort quests first?

I really didn't think I'd like Warrior but god damn do I feel like a juggernaut with these super armor frames. So few games do slow, heavy-hitters well.

>one shotting Greg the dragon with an arc of deliverance

>the only way I have to damage death is deathly arrows to the face
goddamit this is going to take long

Never did this, Have no idea cos.
straight outta street fighter.

You can try gifting him fish to increase his affinity until his escort quest pops up on the notice board.

It doesn't have to be fish though, you can look it up here.

dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Affinity_Items

That is a REALLY cute picture of Mercedes

I can't believe those mean Enlistment Corps men bullied her so much

How long does Grace last? Geez, am I already late to get it?

His quest can pop up on the notice board as soon as you reach Gran Soren if your affinity is high enough.

Ser Berne is a solider, so he likes knives most of all. Give him foreign knives and he'll love you

>I can't believe those mean Enlistment Corps men bullied her so much
probably because they secretly liked her

It's been active at least for about three months (when I first found out Veeky Forums exists).

I mean... "active." When the thread dies, it usually takes less than 12 hours for a new one to pop up, anyway.

The last thread actually hit bump limit! We're doing good.

I can only see one flaw, honestly, but it's a big, glaring one.

You're making the assumption that you have to settle into any single vocation as a "goal," and you really don't.

That's not the dragon from the beginning, that's a much, much smaller dragon called a drake. And yes, you should probably avoid him until you have better stats, skills, and equipment. If you're lucky, you can skirt around the area he hangs out without drawing his attention; alternately there's a longer path that goes entirely around his area (you have to stay north and east of a nearby lake) that can get you through those woods safely--the worst you'll find on that path is hobgoblins and saurians.

Eventually, though, you'll be strong enough to take him on. When you do, keep in mind that he respawns once every seven (in-game) days.

I just walked into this watergods temple and ive gotten to the lever part to lower the bridge.

Is it okay to do this temple now without the quest? I looked it up on the wikia so now i know theres a quest related to it but can i just finish it now anyway?

Like that other user said, escort quests are determined by affinity, and I believe there may be a limit to how many escort quests any one board can hold at a time. You can (usually) pretty easily raise affinity to the point where the escort quest appears just by talking repeatedly to the person in question. For Berne, just do his tutorial missions and go through his entire conversation path every time you happen to stop by the encampment, and you should get his quest pretty quickly. His escort quest shows up at the Gran Soren Inn mission board (the encampment mission board doesn't get escort quests for whatever reason).

Absolutely. The only issue is that you'll have to lug around some extremely heavy tablets (though you can keep them in storage until you reach the relevant part of the quest).

That quest isn't even mandatory. It's one of four that you have to complete two of in order to progress (though you can complete all four if you prefer).

Well im gonna do every quest anyway because why wouldn't I. I stopped player for now but good to know i can continue later.

capcom publisher weekend -> sale -> bumped dragon's dogma into top sellers

>reach level infinity
>nobody wants to hire my pawn anymore

>debated waiting for DDO to go on sale before buying it
>got it off steam 3 weeks ago at full price because I was tired of waiting
>now it's on sale
And you know what? I'm not even mad. It's a damn fun game. Worth every penny.

I'm aware of that, but with 2 other saves I can be lazy/statfag and play optimized vocations for that extra 100 in atk/mag/def

Fighter is pretty much the best option for DEF growths right, how shit will my stamina be if I go 60 levels as just a Fighter?

stackoverflow.github.io/dragons-dogma-stat-planner/

>costs 9999999999999999999999999RC

>solo BBI 2.0 at lvl70
>gorechimera instead of a cyclops
>sleep corkscrew arrow + deathly arrow to the face
>ok, I better advance until I find a riftsone because I already liftstone'd once and there were goblins instead of saurians on the first area, shit will respawn again.
>arrive at safe area
>SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER
holy fuck awesome

>Level 200 pawn
>First rent in months
>Invalid data

Yes you're late. It lasts 10~15 minutes

How is that in any way relevant to post game?

Using prey as bait is not effective, if you have a bow shoot them, if you are melee taunt them. They will come down 100% of the time

Ive got 35 hours in this game and my pawn has been rented once.

What's the deal i think she's cute?

Not being autistic is pretty balanced

That but the version with the dragon wings on the side, what ever it's called

How do you even mistake that for the dragon in the beginning? It looks nothing like him and is literally 1/4th it's size

>Playing on casual mode

Gotta show off her belly button user

>Exposed belly
>hired often
>changed outfit covering it up
>nobody hired my pawn ever again

But then her stats are shit?

Pawns are for fashion user

Could you guys please hire Raven, she is a Fighter level 200.

I need RCs mang.

Not an option

I forget, for Mystic Knight whats better pure physical weapons, or split damage? Pure physical right?

Best inclinations for a sorcerer spawn?

I want him to stay in the back during fights and nuking the shit out of everything living without getting too close to the fight itself.

>lv200
there's your problem
I'll give her a hire once I get back since I also happen to be 200

Challenger/Scather probably

You can make physical or magical work with MK. If you don't want to limit yourself to one or the other, go split, otherwise autist however you like.

I remember ancient /ddg/ saying pure physical weapons were best Magic Cannon

When should I switch vocation? Im currently lvl 17 fighter. I have no idea if its good to swtich this early or if I should wait.

Some MK skills key off of physical attack, some key off of magick attack. It really depends on what skills you want to use more.

The only thing you really need to switch from early is mage (sorcerer stats and spells are pretty much just plain better). Otherwise switch as often as you want, as early or late as you want. This game doesn't punish you for playing what you want to play when you want to play it.

10 to 15 minutes??? how is anyone supposed to catch the dragon during grace?

are we supposed to sit at our computers with an alarm that goes off when it's grace time and then run to our computer and whack at the ur dragon?

I play as mage a lot of the time. It's just a really comfy class. Just sit back, buff your pawns, and relax and Grapnel (hold enemies still) enemies as the pawns beat up monsters for you.

You can also do Spellscreen which pawns can't figure out.

if you want, you can pewpew spells too.

Is there any notable difference between swords and maces or is it all aesthetics?

...

Maces are blunt damage. It's notable on a few enemies.

dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Bludgeoning

Maces also have a better stagger/knock down, and more physical damage

Didn't notice the blunt/slashing difference. Thanks.

...

Any difference between mining with a pick and bashing the node with your sword/mace? I know everything falls out all at once but is the ore distribution any better/worse? So far it seems better to attack it out but I don't want to placebo this.

Does anyone else have a crush on Ser Maximilian? He is so sweet and only wants to be a good wyrmhunt captain and serve the Duke.

It's kind of weird that the dragon didn't pick him to be the Arisen.
