Get cozy, build an empire, kick down doors of autism forts and pillage. There's tons of shit to do, and a shitton more things to learn like becoming a priest and learning Clay No Jutsu. Really though, there's a bunch of skills like farming, mining, fishing, boat building, and puppeteering.

4. While it's updating change settings, like turning off the bad word filter so you can scream nigger

5a. New characters pick exodus, the island we're playing on, spawn at the starter town of Esert.

Costs money to play on most servers, some are pirate friendly, but characters can be lost with a stiff breeze. Some of us have already played it, and starting from ground zero repeatedly isn't fun. Online is better in the longrun, unlimited would be good for private pvp shit.
