Depends when you queue.Most of the time when you pick high tier, people will gladly join up since they have to level them too.

Asking in chat is a good way too, especialy when queueing as CV.

T8+ are highly populares in yuro time, and in NA time they are populares on demand (once one or two guys enter queue, the other high Tier lurkers join).

At los and mid tiers you'll have no problems unleds you queue CV/SS (the MM always tries to match versus another CV/SS)

True, but it does not always require it. there is no '1-1 locked MM'. So you could wind up with matches where they have no CV, or of course the other way around.. but the CV in that case, unless squadded, spent a bit of time to get in there.

As you've already noticed.. you get through the first few tiers very quickly. Which is nice for some things (Events at T5, or FB's T2-4, faster credit gains.) but horrible if you are a relatively unnoticed game trying to hold onto new players that arrive.

Since they'd download, launch, want to play something and then wait for a long time (2,5,10 minutes depending) because everybody else gets through those matches so quickly, and then usually just Free-XP's past future T1-2 ships when they swap lines.

So new players had it rough (Veteran players would often post "looking for more T1-2" to just get them matches.) and often dropped the game (See the hemorrhaging steamchart).

This patch returned AI to fix that a bit. And sure they aren't the smartest, but they exist to speed T1-3, and provide practice dummies effectively. Since the patch numbers have been rising significantly.

IF you can get into a match. I think so.

Effectively a large team death match where everyone has no commanders and has premium consumables, and infinite lives.

US tries to kill AI-controlled Transport ships before they reach beach-heads.

Japan exists to slaughter everything while under the guise of defending their Transport ships

But it provides a neat look at mid tier ships you might not yet have. Pick your ship type, queue up, and hope to get 28 or so other players.

When the game population picks up more could see it being filled faster and therefore more

Rewards are Free XP, and there is no weekly mission to complete for it like other events.
