It's the only covie thing in the game that doesn't look butchered by 343's "artists", so yeah, I like it too.

Yeah, I mean I think it's *interesting* but I could take it or leave it.
>be curious >look up this Jaemus guy's portfolio >looks like he rendered all of Blue Team as well >and the Warden Eternal >and rendered a bunch of stuff for Mass Effect
Might not mean anything though, looks like he just 3D-ified it, not draw the concept art.
Parker Brown
>From bees' honeycombs to the Giant's Causeway, hexagonal patterns are prevalent in nature due to their efficiency.
Carter Price
Well it's just that the Spirit is my Halo vehicle, and the redesign did not do it justice, I love the Phantom, Wraith, Banshee, and Ghost and especially the Needler redesigns but the spirit is a bit messy.
Also Halo 5s 3D modelers ruined a lot of great concept art designs .
Elijah Anderson
I meant to say the Spirit is my favourite Halo vehicle.
John Allen
Are those....HEXAGONS?

I'm now accepting clips for "The /HG/TAGE: BUNGIE EDITION". I may change this title to something else in the future. I'm looking for casual and competitive clips which can come from the multiplayer or campaign. Whether you get the clips from PC, 360, or the xbone does not matter. Just make sure that the clips come from the following games though >Halo CE/A/SPV3 >Halo 2/A >Halo 3/ODST >Halo: Reach
For all clips, either post the xboxdvr/whateverhostyouuse link in the thread or message me on waypoint with the link.
I will not accept webms of the clip. I must be able to hear the sound.

What's the deadline? It would be nice if we made a TMCC/Reach customs sessions to record funny stuff too.
Nathaniel Hall
I'm thinking the clip submission deadline would be September 30 but it really depends on how much attention this gets. If I get enough clips then I'll end it sooner.
Jaxson Barnes
>Fucking 343 and their hexagons, ruining my Halo aesthetic! >Y-Yeah well Bungie did it too but only in Reach and that's okay! >It doesn't matter if Halo 2-3 had them too, it was only on Covenant stuff! >S-So what if Humans and Forerunners had them as well, a-at least are not as common as covenant stuff! Fucking bungiefags are so annoying.
It really is pathetic knowing I share this general with you.
Reach was the only game covered with hexagons, prior to that they were quite sparse and the bubble shield is the only UNSC exception because it isn't even based off of UNSC tech.
You're grasping at straws. 343 went absolutely over the top with what should have been more of a subtle detail to covenant designs
Fucking 343cucks are so annoying

Nothing really, just bungiefags getting triggered by them. People say they're everywhere in 4-5 but so what? It's a nice looking texture and from an engineering perspective, they're the best structural shape and you can even find them in nature for a good reason.
Kayden Anderson
It's another instance of UNSC tech having a hexagonal pattern. Explain that, Bungiecuck.
Kevin Jackson
I take it you're seriously bored then. Refer to my earlier comments
>Reach was the only game covered with hexagons, prior to that they were quite sparse and the bubble shield is the only UNSC exception because it isn't even based off of UNSC tech.

Oh dear, the presence of a damage indicator and a bubble shield sure do make that invalid!
Ian Lopez
It makes your claim that the Bubble Shield was the "only" exemption, invalid.
Blake Stewart
Took you long enough to come up with that response, ey lad. You got me with the damage indicator as I forgot as it doesn't instantly spring to mind since it flashes on screen for less than a split second. Everything else stands and you know it
Aiden Rogers
You make it sound like 343 pulled the hexagons out of their shitty art design. The hexagon pattern is just great for anything, it's everywhere in modern technology, google "graphene".

5's Forge is fucking ridiculous. 343 really needs to focus on the custom games aspect of the game for Halo 6. I feel like adding a custom games lobby browser would give it more retain value than matchmaking, firefight or anything else.
They focused on arena and it died fast. Halo 3 lasted because of custom games. I don't think a browser is a good idea, but they need to focus.
Isaiah Stewart
>I don't think a browser is a good idea Why? It can definitely work on consoles, battlefield has it and it's great when you're looking for a specific map/mode.
Michael James
I think party chat will cause too much of a split to allow for that.
Colton Powell
>Halo 3 lasted because of custom games. False. I get that you probably grew up with Halo 3 before you were even in High School, but Halo 3 was all about matchmaking, just as Halo 2 was. >I don't think a browser is a good idea Holy shit just shut up
Colton Wood
Who cares? It's still a great idea.
Carson Taylor
>but Halo 3 was all about matchmaking, just as Halo 2 was. Yeah, everyone sure played Ghostbusters in Fiesta. Oh wait.
Just because it's your idea doesn't make it a decent one.

No way. There's like 125ish official Halo maps. Numberfag probably just doesn't want to use all the good ones all at once.

There's a reason the pros don't use it or suppressor.

If the boltshot was any good they would use it user.
William Cooper
I guess radars aren't good, either.
Jason Taylor
I'm pretty sure the pros use their radars user.
Noah Thomas
They're the ones who decreased its range because they hate people using it against them.
Thomas Garcia
Many of the pros also prefer the magnum over the Battle Rifle. For the meta of play we and you play with 99% of the time, the suppressor and boltshot are excellent weapons. Do you only play Fox on Final destination when you play smash bros? Of course not
Julian Lee
Don't forget there's also the kind of person who turns items off

I think diamond up you shouldn't be using them much. Suppressor is pretty awful and boltshot is mediocre. You don't have to be very good at aiming to outperform them with other weapons.
Dominic James
>Suppressor is pretty awful and boltshot is mediocre. They're both better than most.
Charles Baker
I ranked up to diamond 4 last season and was still winning matches in FFA with the suppressor and boltshot, but I assume once I hit onyx next season (that's the plan, Iv'e been too busy with work right now) that I won't be able to get away with them as much.
Landon Gray
In my opinion suppressor is probably the worst weapon pickup in arena. Do you swap them with other pickups? I feel like every other pickup precision and automatic blows them away. I'd rather hold onto my magnum since it's precision and hitscan so you can pick people off with headshots. I can only see swapping ar for boltshot.
Nolan Price
>In my opinion suppressor is probably the worst weapon pickup in arena. That doesn't make it bad. It's also unfair because you start with the AR, the worst weapon.
Isaiah Mitchell
>Do you swap them with other pickups? I will always swap my AR for... pretty much anything, unless it's a carbine, DMR, battle rifle, or light rifle, in which case i'll swap the magnum.
It's not really so much the swapping, it's the usage. If I know I will get the first hit in (maybe the enemy is facing the other way or engaged in a distraction) then i'll always use the Promethean weapon over the precision weapon. If he sees me first of if it appears to be an even meeting, i'll use the precision weapon.
Nicholas Morgan
certain maps I find work phenomenally with the bolt shot or suppressor, most specifically Regret, Fathom, The Rig, Tyrant, and Molten.
At extremely high levels of competition, I'm sure they lose their effectiveness, I'm not doubting that, but the vast majority of the Halo 5 playserbase simply can't into dealing with suppressor/boltshot fire
Aiden Butler
This.
It's not so much that the boltshot/suppressor are really that good, it's that most people are scrubs when it comes to fighting against them.
Luis Collins
The boltshot and suppressor feel too similar too me. i'd say keep the suppressor as it is in 5, but return the boltshot to its Halo 4 usage. It was a unique mechanic.
