Why do these even exist on highways?

Why do these even exist on highways?

collecting money

faggots going top speed in their shitboxes and causing potentially dangerous situations

Niggers and spics. They are the reason why we can't have nice things.

They show drivers the speed limit.

They only exist in third world shitholes.

They're a relic from the past that they only leave up because taking them down would cut off one of your local governments best revenue streams.

because some people cant handle the freedom

fpbp

Because California is a cucked state

does that mean no limits during the day ?

a 60 hp shitboxe can do like 95 mph tops
t.shitboxe owner

it means you're at the cops' mercy

cool cops need more power especially in the usa

no just what ever speed you feel comfy with
and they will arrest you for doing stupid shit regardless of the speed you go

the autobahn is like that as well in that people are expected to know what they are doing
but it has speed limits around road works and on ramps/off ramps
and more sections are limited than what is used to be

there are also some mountain passes with solar/battery powered speed signs
they give out a different speed recommendations throughout the day depending on the weather

Dunno, I don't pay attention to them. I just set my cruise a few mph faster than everyone else. My grandfather was unimpressed when they raised the interstate limit to 75 in my state. Advocating for driving slower (60-65) he said, "You know, you don't HAVE to drive the speed limit." To which I replied, "Oh.. I rarely do."
I regularly break 100 mph in 40-75 mph zones. Best so far was hitting my cars electronic limit of 146 mph in a 65.

How do they prevent people from suddenly changing lanes in front of a car who is going much faster? I like the idea of going whatever speed you feel good with, but the idea of a car going half as fast suddenly shifting in front of me is terrifying.

>60hp

>anything over 120-130kph or so

yeah will they arrest you for cruising at like 150 kph ? on a straight road ?
well the unlimited portion of the autobhan have higher casualtie than the limited ones so that's understandable
but 4x4 highways shouldn't be limited to 130 kph

speeding on small road is way more dangerous thought especially in the mountain

it just get a little time but it goes

op these signs let you know that you must limit your speed for the next 65 miles. they post these like every mile so really there is no end to it.

there are some places like school zones that are close to areas that have no speed limit, but i have yet to find one. likewise all parking lots are within 10 miles of a place that has no speed limit but as soon as you get out on the road you start seeing signs that say 20 miles, 30 miles, 45 miles, until eventually you hit the highway and see 65, 70, etc.

some illuminati shit for sure

that's where driver training comes in
and people have to look out for each other more
Europe also has some weird things like every licensed driver being taught first aid the idea being that its quicker first response
that and mistakes on your bicycle or motorcycle count as demerits on your car licence

>yeah will they arrest you for cruising at like 150 kph ? on a straight road ?
only if your swerving or in some other way causing a danger to others or putting your self in a situation more likely to cause a crash

>well the unlimited portion of the autobhan have higher casualties than the limited ones so that's understandable
being alive is deadly, what I find weird is how many people die every day but year after year the people never seem to run out

>4x4 highways shouldn't be limited to 130 kph
that does sound like a lot of space so it should be ok if the timing is right

>speeding on small road is way more dangerous
fallen trees
blind crests
blind corners
rough hair pins
one way bridges
random rain storms
off camber corners
slips and wash outs
frogs all over the road
decreasing radius corner
dense fog hiding in pockets
idiots who do not know the road
flooded waterfalls bring down lumps of clay
piles of pebbles and sand on the inside of corners
unmarked gravel roads not wide enough for two moving cars
tress and tree stumps on the outside and inside edge of corners

it can get hectic even below normal speed
many roads like this are posted at 70 to 100 kph

>especially in the mountain
black ice
rock falls
white out snow
snow drifts in the ditches
sheer cliff with tiny/no railings
wind that can move the car about
other cars sliding all over the place
sleet and hoar frost stuck on windscreen
