What's the best sounding V8 engine in the world?
I think old american muscle cars have it but i'm not sure about the one to pick.
Also, don't tell me you're falling for those flat plane crank V8...

even as the massive BMW fanboy i am, ///M driving gloves are really gay
Best sounding v8 has to be the Hennessey Z/28. Numerous people have called it the best sounding car in the world. That may be a stretch but best v8, yes.
sounds generic
I would vote for the Granturismo MC stradale.
That shit sounds insane, like it's angrier than angry.

PD: Skip to 5:20, the guy's a fucking dick.
The italian V8, now with more turbo

>all that edited noise bullshit
can you provide a real video please
Idling: FE big block
WOT: gotta go with the small block Chevy where the induction howl of the hottest versions is positively musical. Interestingly the LS series engines have a similar howl.

Fuck your DFVs, your Ferraris, your Bimmers.
Fuck your Chargers, your Hellcats, your Stangs.
None of them have any right to be compared to the sheer, unfiltered ANGUR'N'RAEG that is the Judd V8.
427 SMB OP gotta go GM
Buick 455
Not gonna check out every sound you posted but gotta respect how quickly you burned calories to share your faves.
You sir are an enthusiast.
Maserati gran turismo. Then some cosworth v8 I watched a video of doing 19,000rpm. Didn't sound normal til it got back to about 6000.
Big block mopars. Nothing like the sound of a max wedge.

Sounds like a stock mustang. meh. Sounds boring when you hear 'stangs like 900 times a day.
Big block American or nothing

isnt this cocksucker in jail yet?
>American V8's sound like shit
But that's wrong
Shit, even modern Mopars sound like the R&D guys watched too much Mad Max and said, "That's the sound we want".
but europe invented the v8 nigger
Yet America refined and perfected it, blackface
i like the 1uz, maybe its just from being familiar with them
youtu.be
American V8s are the only real V8s tho. Europussies drive 3cyl econooxes and scooters like the limp wristed fags that they are.
Now go cry to your government about muslim invaders

Mercedes has consistently had the best engine package in F1 in recent memory.
Dat hemi, boi.
but thats not Formula 1 dumbass
besides, mercedes 8s of the early 10's were worse than renault's
I'm a sucker for 304/308/253 Holden V8.

But the best is really a 2 stroke, Diesel, with turbo and supercharger cause why not

>engine sound
i don't get it
i just don't fucking get it
Prob cause you're a pussy
Well, even though OP meant exhaust note, I will play devil's advocate. Engines make a distinct noise. If we're speaking specifically about the sound coming from the engine working, the 426 Wedge is undoubtedly the most guttural and powerful sounding engine in the world.
It's lope is the thing of nightmares.

American V8s are unrefined rough running pieces of shit tho
Northstar
Late 70's GM 400's sounded nice.

bmw 507....actually heard one take off in real life. this thing sounds like a beast....straight 8
implying f1 sounds as good as indy

The new camaro with dual exhaust sounds so nice and the best part is it sounds clean compared to something like a mustang that sounds like it has something in its tailpipe
It's definitely a cammed Hemi or 6 pack but the 302/5.0 is easier and cheaper to work with which basically an equivalent sound .
salty :^)
It is not anywhere near equivalent. The 426 and 440s were significantly lower stress and more gently idling engines. To get anywhere near the noise out of a 302 that a Mopar big block had, you'd have to stroke it and put a massive cam in.
Cammed 426s are unmatched in raw noise. They are insanely loud and aggressive.
Doesn't matter anyways, looks like all 2015-16 Challengers pack 392's, largest is a 6.4L in the scat pack, Hellcat's is a 6.2 but it's supercharged.
>If you're a yurofag and can't legally drive a classic it doesn't matter
>f1
GT is the only answer. If you say otherwise it's cos you haven't heard one. I dig the rumble of a big Yank V8, but the noise that Ferrari motor makes is unreal.
Those blown 4.6s sound really mean. My favorite has got to be a 302 with glasspacks tho
Oldsmobile 455 Rocket 88
>all these bitchboys who haven't heard a hard wrapping Chevrolet
I'm American as apple pie, was just saying it doesn't matter since the 2016 Challenger doesn't have an engine anywhere near as big as a 426-440
Flatplane Ferrari
Hemi 429
356 small block is nice too
