Wanting a bike just for the speed isn't really a good reason anyway so that's all for the best.

The real reason to get into riding is because it's ultimately very fulfilling in terms of feedback and self improvement, it's a very unfortunate fact but cars simply cannot provide the insane level of feedback and sensitivity a bike gives you. There's just so much you can do as a rider to make the difference, at any given time you're almost always aware you're the weak link in the chain and need to improve.

Consequently, getting better, going lower, doing better wheelies, stopping better, just improving anything feels great, you get addicted to the sensation so it puts you in a trance when riding hard.
