Okay, what I got from the game was that he circumvented going back as Izuru based on the ending. He seemed like Normal Hajime, but then you have the ending of this episode where sure he's got red eyes from being an SSJ but the way he spoke just now is exactly how Izuru used to speak. I am convinced he is a mix now, and it's not what I expected.

Dunno, I was always thinking that their personalities is mixed now. It's even hinted by AI Junko, when it's recognizes Hajime as Izuru at the end of trial.

I think the original point was that "Awakened Hajime" and epilogue "Hajime" was Izuru the entire time, but with the memories of his past intact. Actually given the chance to interact with others and free of Junko's manipulation, Izuru decided to stick with the good guys in the end.
The whole "Living On" monologue is Izuru telling the player that he's done being Junko's pawn, and is willing to use his powers as they were apparently originally intended. Hence why he said he would "Live on as Hinata": He accepts that he has the memories and experience of both the old person (Hajime) and the new (Izuru), and will as such put that to good use.

Well that was fast... Monaca didn't even get Despair out of that.
