They topped a shit ton in OCG because they didn't have to deal with what the TCG has, I.E. Monarchs and PKBA.

You're overlooking (or not, I don't know) the fact that Blue-Eyes is more popular than Red-Eyes, is more playable than Red-Eyes, has a bunch of tops in the OCG to back it up and has a banlist with potential to knock down the competition for Konami to establish a Blue-Eyes meta. Or Kaiba meta with ABCs.

I don't care about meta, but I plan on getting D/D when the structure comes out and maybe even Metalfoes if I get more spending money. I may get some ABC too, but only as meme support for my Vylon loop deck.

Why do ABCs get so much credit? They're slow to get going unless you have a dream hand, and they can negate/destroy like one thing a turn, maybe two if they got super lucky turn one. Other decks can just drive over them in the first few turns.

Konami just fucked up one too many times with legacy support and Blue-eyes was the first one they did right and people still can't believe it.

So I realized that after the recent ygopro update most of my replays now are screwed, am I the only one?

For one it doesn't brick as much and Dragon Buster is just a very stupid boss monster which shits on anything which can be targeted.
What you do is get Hangar up and then search out either A,B or C depending on your hand.
Then summon Thrasher or a Gadget and another A/B/C, equip a union to it off hangar and make Tsu, set the stun and dump anything in your hand for the draw.
Make Dragon Buster and pass and use the stun + Buster to disrupt the opponent and diffuse Buster in the EP for the 3 ABCs.
When it comes time for your turn, spam shitload of r4 and make Dragon Buster again and just OTK.

I understand it's feel good so see BE win worlds but folks are going out their way and acting like it'll be the sole savior of the next meta.

I mean i'm not going to pretend it's not going to make an impact(with the upcoming new banlist it surely will because it's barely made a dent in ours so far) but to say it'll completely dominate is far overreaching when ABC has more than double the tops in Japan. We're not even taking into soon to not be tcg exclusive threats that will have an impact on the Japanese meta when they get their extra pack.

Why galaxy soldier is bad? It uses too much resources, gives you dead draws, is sucky vs maxx c (that guy should have played through that maxx c challenge desu, it was his only chance), and in general doesn't really synergize that much with blue-eyes at all.

BE and DDD are about the same in relevance in OCG. Only Metalfoes and ABC are ahead of them so I would say they're still doing well for a deck that came out 8 months ago.

for og series it's up in the air. dub has worse music and epik censorship, and also decreases in quality in the later seasons. I prefer sub.
for the rest it's sub. no fucking contest. you could watch gx dub for memes though, it can be pretty funny at points.
