I installed Fair Skin Complexion, and I get a neck seam. The face textures are quite smooth but the body textures seem to be a bit more textured and a little darker. I used UNP Texture Blender too but it didn't do a thing.

Is there something I fucked with here? I can't seem to locate any other body textures I'm using besides the vanilla which are being overwritten.

Im not a fan of it personally, since it kinda seems unlore-friendly, but aside from that its a great mod. If you want more beasts to fight id say yes.

Good textures and a good ENB are the mods you'll need. Also racemenu, if you haven't installed that yet.

Beyond that, it's all practice. You gotta git gud with sliders, my friend. There's no secret. Sculpt is also useful, but you should only use it as a last resort--when you can't accomplish what you want with the sliders.

When trying to limit how OP you get, besides no enchanting/no improving, what do people think is a sweet spot?

Elven/Nordic seems to be a comfy middle spot for weapons, and up to Ebony might be reasonable I guess (Advanced/Glass and Ebony/Orcish for armor) but I'm also drowning in dragon shit and slowly feeling like the game is trying to make me pass a couple orders from Eorlund.
