got a car in august last year at 104,000km.
car is now at 123,000km.
i drive loads for work. my m8 did 20,000km on his car over 3 years.
i feel like 20,000+km year is too much. replaced timing belt at 104,000km and i need a new one at 184,000 which will likely be in 2-3 years (too soon desu)
>is it wrong to drive a car into the ground?
what parts are likely to go as a car gets older?
i know some but would like to get more input on what's likely to break soon.

I've put 17,000kms on my car since December. I'm wondering if you don't drive enough or if I drive too much.

if you're doing that sort of distance it might be better to just get one of those rant-a-cars or whatever, or make sure your daily is inexpensive, cheap to maintain, and easily repleaceable

i probably drive ~400km a week for work, uni and other stuff.
car parts are cheap, car is easy to work on, so many at wreckers. its euro equivalent of a corolla for sure.

Any SA meet ups coming up?

>are SA meets actually a thing?

the last one was two new guys and jimmy
the one before that was 6 or 7 people but mostly a new gen
no idea when another meet is

1/2 tempted to get a daihatsu charade or something i dont care about and have dad pay rego if i maintain it with my own cash

Can I just walk into a mechanic and ask about an apprenticeship or work experience?, how do they usually go about that sort of shit?

I'm fucking clueless /dat/, help me into job

Make a Sunday arvo meet sometime.

usually you have to walk in and just start giving the head mech a gobbing
