The GTR being turbocharged does not work at maximum efficacy in warm air like in the video, unlike the GT3 being aspirated. Why do you think the GT3's 0-100kph claim is faster than that of factory, and the GTR's slower. Go on youtube, you can find numerous videos of the GTR being faster to 100kph. The track surface was not optimal and didnt allow the driver to take full advantage as the car shifts into second. You can see the traction control lighing up on the dash in one of the clips. Also EVO magazine is read by a demographic that owns porsche and heavily respects them - similar to how Veeky Forums loves miatas. You aren't ever going to see the porsche lose on their channel, just like how the vette/hellcat never loses on motortrend (aka GMtrend) Id like to see a truly unbiased test done on a proper surface in proper condition by the likes of a third party like Doug Demuro or /Drive, and you will see how the GTR is the faster vehicle. Just look at the statistics of the GTR on paper, and tell me how it would lose to a 2WD CAR over a half mile.

The track wasn't ideal. Look at the asphalt. I'm not a shill for Nissan at all, even though they create some of the most technological and culturally advanced supercars since the 80's R32 GTR, R390 and MID-4, however when something has been tested unfairly, and ignorant people lap it up and spew it through their microphones on forza someone has to point it out to the masses.

Either way, let's assume the video is true, the GTR is a bit slower than the Porsche, who cares? It's still nearly as fast as a fucking GT3 RS and costs nearly half the price (probably way less by time you count dealership mark ups on the Porsche) if that's not still impressive then you're just being dumb.

The nissan GTR comes with some pretty shitty tires from the factory. The stock dunlops have a hard time finding traction unless the conditions are perfect, right temp and humidity and even then they still are lacking. If both cars were on the same tires the race would have been a little closer, but I would still expect the GTR to lose.

It's a platform that's been around for 10years with only very minor changes. In a lot of ways the GTR is turning into a dinosaur because of nissan refusal to stop production and work strictly on the R36 or provide more advance features that the R35 needs to compete like direct injection or a 7 or 8 speed transmission.

GT3 RS price on porsche's website is $175k. GTR's price on nissan's website is $102k. Pretty big difference there. Also consider the GT3 RS is a dedicated track car.

A more apt comparison would be the nismo GTR against the GT3 RS. Closer both in price and in purpose, track toy vs track toy.
