I guess I need to just look all this up. Maybe Sonya and the rest of them do feel one to one with the games. I may have been completely wrong. But I was under the impression that the player characters in those games were not very fleshed out and had little personality, unlike in HOTS where they are to the brim with cartoon style caricature.

The Crusader does mention it, but she's more about restoring her corrupted religion. The other two yes.

Some had stuff before the game released that fleshed out there character. They respond to npc and boss characters, have lines while fighting and are the narrator of the main story for the most part.

HotS has condensed their personalities for maximum meme potential, but they're basically the same. it's not as noticeable in D3 because it has context for these personalities so they seem less... pulpy.

I guess that's fair. My point with all of this is that it makes sense that HOTS builds on and expands and maximizes meme potential, because Blizzard games otherwise don't have enough pizzaz in characterization.

That's why we end up with characters like Nova or ETC, because they seem like they could be built up in fun ways. Their relevance to the main game isn't what is important.

Metzen's self insert is pretty fun to use, his kit is very versatile and he has quite a good punch or hammer

the other ult is good, Greymane just had unreasonable amounts of burst for a sustained damage assassin that can easily win pretty much every 1v1 without the burst from his E and R1, which meant he was bar none the best assassin that isn't a mage (and mages will always be the top tier class in HotS, let's not kid ourselves here). the nerfs are justified and you should stop being such a pussy ass bitch about it.

Dude, what sustained damage? Illidan is sustained damage. Raynor is sustained damage. Hell, Falstad can be sustained damage. Ever since his release he has been all about burst damage, even if hotslogs puts anything that's not a mage under "sustained" category (early days valla used to 100-0 champions). Like I said, I don't even play him so I'm not being "a pussy ass bitch". It's just infuriating how the devs don't have any clue about what to do with him. First the cocktail nerfs, now multiple worgen buffs and nerfs. They should just rework him, because his kit is essentially for bursting.
