Is leveling Pit Lord's ult to level 3 even worth it?

With 3 seconds delay instead of 4 seconds you lose the ability to clutch save an ally.
With 4 second delay you can choose a target for your ult (let's say fountain) and then start TPing onto an ally who's getting ganked with BoTs2.
You will appear next to him after 3 seconds and almost immediately get him out to your fountain. This sounds bloated but is actually very easy to execute and your ally only has to survive for 3 seconds. The enemies can't even prevent that save with a stun.

So has anyone here actually won a game you wouldn't have won 4vs5 anyway with a Pitlord on your team? It's like all the dumb Alch pickers have switched to playing him as a ricing core now. I've played 8 games since release and each time the team with Pitlord got stomped.

The hero doesn't even do anything in fights before he has 20k networth and all people use the ult for is to TP somewhere to farm more or to escape from ganks. Yes you can do some damage once you're super farmed but why not just pick Sven and don't be a dead weight?

I just don't understand how people come to the conclusion that wasting mid or safelane farm on Underlord isn't game losing. And don't get me started on the shitters that mark offlane, buy an iron talon and fuck off to jungle at level 1.

It's similar to a relocate save, but arguably better. You don't even have to be near the guy you're saying and you don't return and get killed 12 seconds later. You at least need BoTs though, better BoTs2.

Practice combo and try to optimize rock usage, now, how do you do that? ask yourself why are you using the skills
>you want to nuke because you know hes gonna die with it? use everything with the same rock, or just everything as fast as possible, doesnt matter. The hero is a storm? an ember? a hero that can escape easily? concentrate on the silence and use it first, the stun can miss. The important thing here is: dont use the skills because you can. You are gonna waste disables, rocks, and probably commit too much for something you are not gonna kill or do something

So I've been playing this glorious motherfucker quite a bit recently but I can't seem to deal with the early-mid game area where all you have is an armlet and maybe an echo sabre and after every fight I have to base thanks to low hp + no sustain.

Also barring any items needed to counter certain heroes my usual build goes

I would actually put him in a similar hole to spectre, except he reduces way more physical damage and can farm way better. Radiance manta(maybe octarine) is great on him since he gains damage from illusion cs as well.

He can initiate ok, but you're not really utilizing the full potential if you don't build him up some.

Of course this will probably change with patches.

Double tap is ok, but quick cast makes you a literal robot. One thing about earth is that you can make fun stuff, you dont have just a stun, or just a silence, you have optins. And quickcast close that doors and makes it just a stun
Just practice him the old way. Its just practice. He's just that kind of hero that you wont do very well at the beginning but if you practice you can be really good at, like Storm or something.
