At what speed does countersteering start to work?
I'm fresh out of bike school and I still do the thing where I slow down to 20kmh max going into turns, but I'd like to go fast, not hold up city traffic.
Or am I looking at this all wrong? Should I leave countersteering to country roads and just slow down in the city?

Anything faster than about 10kph is countersteering. If you are 'leaning' the bike in a turn instead of being upright and physically turning the bars, you're countersteering.
Don't overthink countersteering, you learned how to do it when you're but a wee lad on your bicycle. People do it without realizing it, it's muscle memory.
Turning a motorcycle is an art form its'elf but a typical, untalented motorcyclist should be able to corner around in traffic as quickly as an unhurried car can.
Watch Twist of the Wrist 2 on youtube. It's corny acting but it goes into the science behind countersteering/ motorcycle handling and goes into the preferred methods of cornering at speed.
I read both TOTW books and watched the video, felt like it was way above my head. I guess I'll rewatch it, ride more, rewatch it again.

The back wheel seems a little loose since I sorted the fork seals and put fresh fork oil in my 600. So the rear suspension is being shown up by the improved front suspension, or I'm just not used to the feel of the bike when it's in good shape?
