Turbo lovers, hear me out for a moment. There are quite a large number of "eco boosted" cars available now. Mustangs, Fusions, and so on. The car is of course turbo charged to make high power with a relatively smaller engine. Better fuel economy is the result, when compared with a higher displacement NA engine of the same relative power.
That said, I'm kind of toying with the idea of taking an ecoboost car and turning it into a hoon machine. Can it be done? Will an ecoboost Fusion or Mustang accept larger turbos? And does any other manufacturer do something similar?
Hudson Sullivan
>and does any other manufacturer do something similar
what did he mean by this
Dylan Martin
Pretty much every automaker manufactures turbocharged engines these days. I can't for my life think of a company that doesn't. People are already doing that with the turbo I4 Mustang.
Ayden Gray
Idk but I just wanted to post this pic.
Hudson Price
There are people who have already done this, instead of shitposting on 4chin. Least you can do is watch some youtube videos of how they did it.
Think you get the most bang for the buck modding and tuning a Focus ST though. That seems to be the popular Ferd platform to do this to.
The stang attracts a different sort of crowd, the whole Murican "NO REPLACEMENT FER DISPLACEMENT WHERE MAH BACCY I NEED MOAR CHAW"
Matthew Peterson
>WHERE MAH BACCY I NEED MOAR CHAW
What the fuck does this even mean? Is this supposed to be an impersonation of an American?
Andrew Perez
its a pretty good impersonation of the hicks that are into Mustangs
James Thomas
Unless your just stoplight racing, you'll want something lighter then a fusion.

>Buy MK3 Supra >Put bigger turbo on it >Profit >And no gay Fords or cars made after 1995

>I think new cars are better than old cars
Sebastian Cook
As a daily driver they are. It's not even a question really.
Ryan Moore
>Going in debt for a new shitbox >better than an old shitbox

I don't think toyota/lexus has any turbocharged engines, Honda just now started used turbos in the civic
Elijah Morales
Toyota diesels have had turbos since forever, and the gas 8AR-FTS is turbocharged. Honda has used turbos in Europe for a while too.

What is Lexus is200t? Get out from under your 90's shitbox rock
Chase Morris
Price is irrelevant. He's talking about quality, not bang for your duck
