The giant storage container that was sitting on our driveway for 6 months since the house fire has finally been moved: the extra chassis is gonna get pulled out now, and worked on.
Should make getting around in an emergency easier.... theoretically.

Sounds illegal ahaha
Andrew Diaz
Illegal to use, but not to mount. Retarded law if you think about it.
Oliver Davis
Do it. Also I'm planning to take my fenders off my 260z to tackle some rust I found under the air intake grille. I noticed at the door sills that there isn't a gap like pictures of zs I found. I'm attaching a picture. Do you think someone used body filler to fill the seem? There's a Crack where the fender would end.
Eli Sullivan
Also you're always op for these threads. I'm pretty new to them. I've never seen your z. Mind dumping a few pictures of it?
Isaac Harris
Only one available atm. This is the '72 we're cutting up, and we have another '72 shell were gonna swap everything into.
John Hernandez
Yup, body filler job.
Grayson Cox
That's awesome
Xavier Taylor
Thought so. How should I take the fender off without ducking everything up. Would a razor blade slice through that? Don't wanna damage the actual body panels. Hope there's not a half asset rust repair waiting for me underneath it. Remember a few threads back I posted the metal patches someone riveted over rust holes on the floor boards? Ahaha fucking retards I swear.
Colton Howard
>. Hope there's not a half asset rust repair waiting for me underneath it. Motherfucker you don't know bad dogleg rust repairs u til you've seen what was on the orange Z above: someone put QUICK-CRETE in the dog leg rust hole, then Bondo'd over that.
Literally shit.
And a razor blade ain't gonna do shit to the metal man, go for it. And are you trying to take the rear quarters off or something?

Currently in talks with an owner in the US about doing a photoshoot and drive of his Z432, will report back with results if all goes well. I hope to get some good driving footage to share that S20 sound with you lads
Jack Foster
>432 >in the U.S.
since when? I know there are a few clones here, but not any originals that I know of.
Thomas Murphy
It's one of a small handful of real 432s imported by people with way more money than me
Isaac Thompson
There's at least one that I know of, sold about 4 years ago for ~250k
Jacob Long
Concrete? Holy fuck. That's shit. And I know razor won't hurt metal I just ment incase i have to use something other than razor blade.wasn't sure if it would get through it. Broke 2 blades so far so might need to find something else
David Thomas
Yep, concrete.
Another option for you is to get a standard screwdriver and sharpen the blade into a chisel.
That, or wire brush wheels for a drill. Works well for me.

260z resto guy here...
I need ideas for a good set of performance seats to swap into the 260z. I will be going with a 5 point harness eventually. Still needs to be comfortable to drive on the streets but supportive on canyon runs or track days. I was looking at the Corbeau Targa RS Performance seat but am welcome to other suggestions.

i got my motor striped down, need to get measurements, the motorcycle is done too, gotta get the carbs on it :D
Ethan Martin
*Probably* not gonna run the rear bumper since we're shaving the bumper, but wr mat want to eventually find a way to mount it again without messing with the shaved rear end (thinking caps on)
But Wes probably be going with a fiberglass rear bumper, so I'll let ya know.
The front bumper stays for now.

Trays. Very popular ute bed in Australia for most models.
I bought it to move and I wanted a little Jap car old enough to put on club (cheaper) rego. Would like to get a stock bed for it since it's a very nice clean little old man ute, but finding a LWB bed is proving quite difficult so will probably just sell it. I bought my Exa back so that's filled that little Japanese hole I had.
Thomas Brooks
And now for Exa time Is this old enough for /ddt/? 1988
Bentley Baker
Im afraid I didn't time my engine correctly, how can I check.
update: >engine is timed >got a RB25 NEO turbo

his son took it out for a joy ride and it caught fire

Did he push it hard that it overheated?

I'm looking at a 1982 datsun 280zx, the guy is asking 4500. It has about 110k miles. Any advice on what to keep an eye out for?
Jace Hughes
Never asked, just said he was waiting outside his girlfriend's house when the car started smoking and then caught fire.
I never got around to pulling out the engine. The white car was bought as a parts car. It was very rusted and riddled with holes, but he paid $500 for it.
Xavier Lopez
>fire behind the dash
literally typical as hell. Kid was a moron for not disconnecting the battery.
Sebastian James
another car that's not that one. Goodness, unless it was garage kept or original owner, that's a steep price. I wouldn't pay more than $3,000.
