i don't understand how people can use anything else, bottle treads gives basically infinite mana so i don't have to rely on any shitter to mana me, tranqs are nice and all but i've pretty much dropped them on most heroes since the nerfs. not to mention treads vastly improves your farming speed.

Before you get blink. Notice all the sand king and bat rider players in TI building lace and tranqs before getting blink(actually bat rider players tended get a full drums first).

A single sage's mask for 325g gives you almost the same regen. But yeah you can also spend 2.6k gold on an early game item.

Aghs causes enemies near a doomed target to have their passives disabled as well, on top of its current effects

You build treads on LC because HP, IAS and mana are things that hero needs. With tranquils you also need a soul ring and have to rely on your team to actually kill your duel target.
Tranquils are fine if you're position 4 but game losing if you've had a lane to farm.

When you run out of drum charges you can still cast it ifor 1/3rd of effectiveness. Buying a new recipe does not recharge it
