At least mine is a later model with airbags but I think I wouldn't make it in a rollover
more like hyndai accident
...
A REAL HUMAN BEAN
I know the feel
>100kph
After drinking a pack of VB, no worries m8
IIHS Top safety pick, gold in 2006.
>a pack of VB
it's called a slab. mate.
...
noice
I would be pretty safe
youtu.be
I'd survive a frontal collision
youtube.com
Will be fine
youtube.com
Not great! Seatbelts don't seem to work very well. There's another reason to look into a racing harness.

Hey kids, did you know motorcycles can fly?
Yeah well ...
Not a great improvement from the Twingo
Maybe I should get an RS6. Oh,...
seems like i'm safe
youtube.com
the twingo will just break your leg in case of frontal colision
t. man with broken legs
Oh shit, this is the part i didnt think about before buying an s15
>leg flies off
lol
>87 dodge ram
Pretty sure I'll be fine hitting a car. A tree on the other hand, I'm surely fucked.
Lol at that first one
If someone has footage or an AW11 I would like to see it
whew that e36 is fucked
i bought an e36 for my gf as her first car in winter, lucky she's alive lol
> Ford Focus
5 star Euro NCAP rating, bitches.
10/10 crash test rating
You can have that one for cheap I'm sure.
>makes mental note to jump the fuck out and curl into a ball if shit starts to look bad
Twingo-chan is too cute :3
To be fair, that would happen to a new car if it crashed at that speed as well. Frontal Crash tests are performed at 64km/h or 40 mph, and kinetic energy is proportional to speed squared, so a 110 Km/h crash is 3 times worse that the regular testing.
youtube.com
This was done at 45 Km/h (note how even in the 60's the french already had crumple zones in the cheap popular cars)
youtube.com
This was done at 75 Km/h (so faster than even today's tests).
The conclusion they made then was that even if they made the car strong enough, the occupants would just get thrown off.
It's only thanks to modern seatbealts and airbags that it's worth making stronger cars.
That or a full racing harness.
I can't find a crash test video for my car. Anyone with stronger searching skills or knowledge of a more comprehensive video library ever see a 2013+ Porsche 911 slam into a wall on purpose? I assume with a huge crumple zone up front it would ace all front-end collision testing, side and rear would be my only concern.
Not well
No airbags, 4 star front impact in '91 for one side, optional anti-decapitation belt, automatic shoulder belt that chokes people new to the s-chassis (just let it happen bb), no side impact testing done that I can find
"blood on the outside" tier
youtube.com
Could be worse.
Airbag light is on so it would probably do really bad. I need to get around to fixing that...
I thought the same and im glad i bought a 5points harness
Underrated post
youtube.com
Not too bad considering it's on a revised verison of a chassis that started life in the '90s.
I have a 2008 base model (only extras are AC and ass warmer, no side airbags, ESP etc), so it's probably even worse than this
At least they put a band-aid on the tree.
2012 gti kept me safe when i was at a stop and got rear ended at 45 mph and thrown into the SUV in front of me
pretty sure if that were to happen in my current vehicle (03 miata) id die
I've never been able to find a crash test for AE86s but they probably do extremely poorly like this:
1980 Corolla youtube.com
1980 Tercel youtube.com
Steering wheel right in your fucking face.
Black Nigga fuck dat
where do i buy my twingo plushie?!?!
The way it deforms really looks like they had weights in the boot to make it look even more dramatic.
That the video was produced to be "art" (in the description) and not even a real test doesn't help either.
youtube.com
You'd have to shoot yourself to die in this car.
depends.
probably not if you're the one in the Sunny
looks like CIA
Its probably the same as an 80s corolla.
3 out 4 people will survive, pretty fucking great for america!
I thought it would be worse. Also I don't remember mine having side airbags.
youtube.com
I'd probably die.
Looks pretty damm good, way safer than i thought.
needs an "abandon thread" edit
Lost hard when he came shooting up
Ive seen plenty of crash pics and the 86 seems to hold up well honestly. Itll still be fucked hitting modern lead soap bars and brotrucks though
>ejects you out of the car in the event of a rollover so you don't get squished
Fancy as fuck.
...
>all those people putting their hands on their heads
What did they mean by this?
That place is worse than Russia.
About as well as an empty gallon jug shot with a cannonball.
Pretty good m.youtube.com
really really bad... I'm going to die.
youtube.com
Kek. I have a better chance than you.
Pray for my soul.
youtube.com
2 whole stars, mines rusted to shit though, probably would be even worse in an accident
we basically have the same car
Second safest car of 84 my nigga. First place went to a Volvo with airbags.
3 outta 4? didnt notice the first guy ejecting? he lands behind the car so its not as noticable
youtube.com
Not bad I guess, my car is from 1992 tho, and has SRS.
crashing into deformable barrier in 2003 instead of solid wall like in 1993 was the greatest improvement for twingo's safety. I guess mr dummy driver learned something after first crash.
I wish I had some of dat oil money. Ayyrabs clearly don`t know what to do with all that money.
did they crash that at 5mph?
dont give a shit about that
Fun fact, the guy literally walked away from that wreck.
We all gonna make it, brah
These are my door hinges.
I have no fear about accidents in this overbuilt motherfucker.
If trees are so strong why don't we make cars out of them?
So well that firefighters had to have a special meetings on how to take it apart because it was breaking the jaws of life.
firehouse.com
It's the first car to get a 5 star ncap rating so I'm not too worried.
Even if you wanted to crash, you wouldn't make it cause it would brake down beforehand
I probably wouldn't even notice.
Just remembered that rollover test.
