I'm making custom hair and it looks good in game when I'm talking to her, but when she's walking around I see her as bald. What am I doing wrong?

Well yea if you leave some of the files intact, you might leave something behind. The only things you can leave behind without affecting anything are /textures/ and /save/ folders in both play and maker data. Cap too, obviously.

Then the lowpoly model of your custom hair is what you need to address (provided it was made to match), maybe there's something wrong with it. Some standalone outfitts don't even display legs so it's not unheard of

I also don't know the ins and outs of hair making, I've been meaning to try to get something started but I'm also a total newbie to this. I just knew to narrow down the issue to lowpoly because it was in the walking animations

Did you make a low poly model in the first place? You need to make a jg2el02 file for it.

I didn't. How do I do this? I've only messed with .xx, .xa, .bps and .lst.

Hair hi-polys go in a jg2e02 pp file. The low poly is a separate xx (jg2el02) that uses a different type of physics file. Look at any standalone hair file like the DoLLS hairs and you'll see how they're structured.

what do you mean? like a download link to something else? put the link in the card description

The attached files being hair/access/eye mods should be installed using AAinstaller.
textures should be placed in the highlit/eye texture folders respectively

Just got back into AA after a while. What the living fuck happened to the Database? It's full of spam. Also AA2install is the new thing now? How do I transfer from Wizzard to AA2install? Or can I just delete Wizzard?

If you end up doing Rem, I might revisit the hair that i attempted to make since it doesn't seem like the hair that's already done won't get shared anytime soon.
However, i'm completely lost on the hair accessory.

For me it's 2 years, on and off, and Emilia was my first card. If you want us to live user you have to start posting!

Now I'm talking out of my ass right now but front hair 78 has a small arch of flowers around the head. We could make the arched flowers with it. If the flowers aren't a separate mesh we could make the whole thing smaller and add a copy pasted hair that we made that's flipped etc. Then we just change the texture I guess? Other than that I could only think of making a round braid and clipping it really far in and then just copy/pasting the flower I used for Emilia's hair all over it, just really smaller and with an adequate texture and position. That's a lot of work tho.
This is the best way to keep the general alive btw, by working on something together. If there's enough interest and people I'd even consider making custom personalities. Back when I joined people used to make shit that my lazy ass requested, that's how some of my favorite cards were made.

I guess since Seismic neverever got fulfilled, theres less motivation for /hgg/'s

78 has flowers that don't look like they would be very accurate. Well maybe the white ones after some scaling and removing a pedal..
Also it doesn't matter if they're a separate mesh or not, one can always just select them specifically in a 3d program and move/cut/paste them after.
I'm more worried about the straps on the side really.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I know jack shit about 3d modeling but I'll try making it from scratch eventually when I learn more. Even if I fail it's not too big of a deal, as long as everything else is accurate we have a Rem. Could you post the nip version?

Pretty sure some nip did them and he just has it.
The hair itself is a pretty bad mashup, but the braid isn't bad at all.
With all due respect to the guy who made it, i could do a better job on the hair.

As you can see it's a simple hair combo of part of 15 and 26.
The braid is pretty neat, although i feel like the flowers are a bit on the big side.

Oh hey, they finally figured it out. That only took multiple thread deaths.
If whoever makes the base hair, it's entirely possible to rip the accessory bits from the Japanese version, modify them, and the add the modified ones to the new base hair. That's not redistribution and it's also dick unity.

You should do a reup for your files because they're overwriting existing slots.
Download the Kud hat and add it to your jg2e02_03_emilia. Make your extension the flip slot for slot 227 ([name]_01.xx). Make your side hair 247 to match the slot of the front and back.

Illusion would do so good to release a creation kit for their games

If they would, upcoming games could become osbsolete.
Just look at the history here in AA2, people create stuff straight from passion.
With proper tools nobody would enter the next sequel if it's not supported with similiar tools of power.

Take aa2 for example, after you play out some variations there's nothing to do in the game anymore, you just make more cards. I wish we could alter the AI.
