What's the GM equivalent of a manual Fiesta ST?

What's the GM equivalent of a manual Fiesta ST?

May get a company car at some point and I want to be ready, but my company only buys GM.

Sonic Turbo

>but my company only buys GM
why? GM is a shit company do you guys feel sorry for them or something? I can't understand why a company would just throw money away on GM cars.

Seriously though I don't think there's an equivalent. Like they have to be GM? I looked at their site they seem to only have large cars&trucks

This, just don't get the RS, get the LTZ in manual

What's wrong with the RS.

I was actually looking at it on their website right now.

Fucking 20k for a well kitted one is a bit hard to justify though

The gears are shorter so mileage is worse, and it will be cheaper

I am not sure, we are mostly Gm though.

Like we even have a Gm certified mechanic and everything.

american companies usually get discounts with domestic manufacturers

Confirmed for never having a job that gives you a company car

so no chevy buick or cadillac?

This. The 1.4L Turbo in the Sonic is the closest you're gonna get from GM

The price is whats wrong. Beyond that, the RS is fairly cool.
>custom bolstered seats with red stitching
>flat bottom steering wheel from Camaro ZL1
>shorter gears for quicker acceleration but worse mileage
>rear disc brakes
>stiffer, lower suspension

They did everything to the chassis they would do for an SS model... except stick in a more powerful engine. Keep an eye out though. GM recently federalized a 200 HP 1.6L Turbo in Amerifat for the Buick Cascada. I can almost guarantee you that engine will show up in a Sonic SS soon.

>so no GM, GM, or GM?

Same shit.

What the fuck o

I just Google it and that piece of shit makes only 140 horsepower.

>but my company only buys GM.

C U C K ' D

Everyone in this thread so far is wrong. The GM equivalent of the Fiesta ST is the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa OPC/VXR. Until it gets rebadged as a Buick in the US, there will be no true GM FiST competitor on the US market.

>"the more horsepower the better the car"
>*tips fedora*
go take a look at GM's catalog and find something else

You can get a Chevy Cruze hatchback and only talk in emojis ayy lmao

It's still the closest thing GM has, in America.

If horsepower matters that much to you, you could get a Buick Verano Turbo for 29k, a Camaro turbo for 26k, or a Camaro V6 for 27.5k

The 1.4L Turbo in the Sonic does have aftermarket support, but the horsepwer limit is around 200 HP. The head just doesn't flow well enough to push more power out of it.

They are all just rubbish.
Why is it everything Gm makes is shit?

And what the fuck happened to mini trucks?

Why do new cars suck dick Veeky Forums?

>Why is it everything Gm makes is shit?
Because GM killed off the GM Performance Division during the bailout

>And what the fuck happened to mini trucks?
They all became mid-size. Look at the Chevy Colorado. It's even available with a diesel.

>Why do new cars suck dick Veeky Forums?
because people care more about their phone than their car.

I just looked at Mazda too for fun, they want fucking $4000 for JUST a LSD

Fiesta ST is still pretty okay.

fist is moderngoat

just wait until the Corsa OPC comes over as a Buick.

Vibe GT

I may actually be able to get them to get me a 4wd Colorado diesel...
It's fucking $40k though.

Something like 370ft-lbs in a 4000lb vehicle though, hnggggggg

>aftermarket
It's a company car dingus, and I doubt he works for Harry's
