I've been experimenting with it a lot.

It's significantly easier to use and preferable when you have to fight multiple mobs at once (Gloomdross, Desolate Tomb's first and second boss, the second boss of Masts, trash waves, etc) but on most bosses I prefer the earth build because it's simpler. On a single boss, maximizing shadow's DPS requires you to keep track of a lot of cooldowns and it might just be my (lack of) skill but that takes my attention away from what the boss is doing, which is very bad.

Also according to Freedomplays Earth has higher burst/overall dps most of the time anyways, so there's that.

I was checking dps meter and compared to other FMs, my LMB consistently makes up a much bigger % of the damage. Blazing beam is still the most, but LMB is sort of close whereas with other FMs there's a pretty big gap.

Can literally any experienced FM explain a proper rotation? I started late and have just been kind of winging it.

I usually do Inferno (instant cast for burn until I get points for T5F1) > Meteor then repeat LMB > RMB > 2 using 1 when necessary and dragonblaze/dual dragons when I get the orbs and Inferno/Meteor when they're off cooldown and sometimes short fuse if I run out of focus or someone's autodetonating.

What can I change? The only thing I can think of for why my LMB damage is relatively high is that lag makes me not trigger 2 sometimes which really kills my damage. But if anyone can help, it'd be appreciated.

I actually switched from T3F2 to T3F1 a bit before meters came out. Maybe that's why it feels like I've been doing less damage lately. Thought it would let me use dragonblaze/dual without wasting an attack on fire fury but didn't realize how big LMB damage was.

Achievement Vendor sells the other consumables but no Pellet it seems. Battlefield/Zen Bean people at Mushin's have it but I've never done PvP before. Are Battle Points reasonable to acquire by participating or would I actually have to win a lot?

You get around 1/3/-1/2 the points for a loss as you do a win. If you play enough though no matter how bad you are you'll sink down to a level where you win a reasonable number of games.

I'm assuming we can get 3 Citrines from the WW Valley event (2 from main, 1 from alt) if you do the stuff for about a month. So I THINK I shouldn't get the Citrine.

But now the real question is which one do I pick? Ruby, Aquamarine, or Sapphire?

I don't know which heptagonal has higher priority. Hept ruby, aqua or sapphire?

The citrines from whirlwind valley event are also transmutable so I don't think I should take the citrine from the trove. I don't know if I can get a 3rd aquamarine or ruby though - definitely don't have enough HM coins to get 3 aquamarines AND 3 rubies - so I have to choose one to go all in on.
