Just make a stockpile over the steel, constructors and craftsmen will haul materials for their work even if they normally refuse to haul.

you don't have to do that, constructors will haul materials located anywhere on the map straight to the blueprint if you don't have any on your stockpile
because electricity doesn't move from furniture to cables, you need uninterrumped lines

Definitely hang onto it if you're playing with CR since it'll work against Centipedes.
If you can't arrest him I find giving my best melee guy a wooden club and beat the guy unconscious works the best.

yeah, I got a superior one off a dead guy and it's been great. I've killed charging rhinos with a single blast
I gave one to a guy with the "trigger happy" perk or whatever that doubles fire rate and halves accuracy. Even though he can't aim for shit, everyone gets hit by the hose of stray bullets anyway.

does anyone else think it's way too easy to keep everyone fed? I don't even refrigerate any more, neither rice nor herbal medicine spoils quickly enough to be a problem--I have the stove set to two meals a day per person and don't have to think about it at all.

Cassandra Classic. It's even too easy with seasons, when I played boreal forest I could make 120 meals with the rice I stored up in growing season and wouldn't even have to have a freezer, just a couple of vents during the winter.
iirc Boreal Forest(maybe Tundra) with seasons is by far the easiest to play on because of what you stated.
Play on a hotter map where you need coolers and food goes within a day or 2 of storing it without them.

one time my herd of alpacas was sleeping outside of my death tunnel when I raid came.
I mobilized my warriors and put them at the end of the tunnel
and they got tired and hungry and pissed off, because the raiders just stood there trying to shoot my alpacas and missing, literally all night
Anyone ever made a base that utilizes mood debuff as defense mechanism? I can see it, make a long ass tunnel using hallways with all sort of unpleasant things littering it like corpses.
Enemies are capable of breaking too?
I haven't personally witnessed it but they have mood too so why not?
