Unsurprising given the fact that Bethesda doesn't consider weapons and proper gunplay a priority (yes they vastly improved it,but it still has a long way to go).

I mean, you don't even see pump-action shotguns because they can't be bothered to make a proper realoading animation (see the lever-action rifle).

I would have liked to have seen some new raider or nuka cola stuff though. Like a new Junky variant that granted bonus damage while effected by chems. Sugar Rush gear that increased move speed while caffinated. Intimidating weapons that increase the odds of intimidation pers working, shit like that.

Which is just a melee legendary but on a gun.

I was a little dissapointed that they didn't add any new ranks to the intimidation perks that make you basically like Big Boss and have any enemy pacified join you indefinitely. Captured Raiders / Gunners become settlers. Tame creatures become settlement pets.

I wonder if you could make a collar or mesmatron item? Tag a pacified critter with it and they get the settler flag.

The major issue would be hitting neutral/friendly NPC's with it, fucking up quests and causing other bugs.

Could probably be modded in, desu. Might be wonky and have to clone the entity as a settler, as opposed to them automatically being flagged as a settler once you subdue them.

Would still be super cool and useful.

Oh and before I begin searching Nexus, is there a mod that makes settlement creatures more productive? I have 30 something Deathclaws on Spectacle island, and while they're good for defense, they don't do much else. Is there a mod that lets them produce deathclaw eggs?

This would actually make a really good Mirelurk farm, too. They produce eggs, use eggs to catch more mirelurks, kill and butcher the rest in the contraptions machine for free oil!

There is mod that adds chicken nests you can 'harvest' so I'm sure you could do something like that for deathclaws. You wouldn't need a deathclaw though, it would just be like a plant you can harvest whenever the zone refreshes.
