GMS has no need to gut the rates. If anything, they're actually higher for tier-ups (it is confirmed to be substantially higher than EMS' tier-up rates).
Have you actually tried to get 3 lines on anything? The worst are the items with a shit ton of useless lines like top/bottom/shoulder/shoe. Nexon knows that raising the tier-up rates will just get more Legendary items. 80-90% of the cost of cubing is cubing for stats.
Using the simulator, on average I'm spending ~300 red cubes after Legendary to get 3 lines of stats. 400 red cubes later on my SW tat and I have gotten 33%+ INT (the 400th red cube was 36% INT) like 3 times, 33% STR 1 time, and I'm aiming for LUK. I got 27% LUK on my top after ~300 red cubes but I accidentally clicked over it. 1,780 red cubes later the best I've gotten is 24% LUK.

last time I played this was... 2-3 years ago? cube drops were atrocious (I could go a whole week with seeing 1 or 2 cube drops from all the bosses), on top of them being RNG and taking forever to rank up pots made me want to stop playing is the situation any better? did they improve drops and/or cubing chances? wanna give it a try for when 5th job comes around any other general improvements they have done in recent times that I should be aware of?
