Why do the Japanese like 911's so much?

Why cant FWD compete? Why cant FWD be in the mid night club?

I assume Mid Night Club used Porsches because of their stability at high speed and their tuning potential. They're built for the autobahn

Because it's a well made, reliable, easily moddable and robust supercar that's stable at high speeds like said

>why do the japanese...
fucking weebs get out

>Telling weebs to leave his japanese image board

Because they kick ass.

>hosted in california
>written in english
you must be confused

Even though I know this is b8 I'll bite.

Civics are the go-to car for Kanjo Loop racing. Japs love FF.

There just weren't a lot of Japanese FF cars in the 90s that could support enough hp to go 300 kph. Plus the short wheelbase of most FFs didn't help

You're seriously going to make this thread all about you aren't you

This is a Prelude loop runner.

Are you saying no FWD can go 300kph?

this thread is about weebs

cringe

Here's your (you)

In the 90s, yeah probably not likely to see a 300 kph capable prelude. People do it nowadays though I'm sure

How

Fuck you. Why can't FWD go 300kph?

>They're built for the autobahn
Actually they're built for the Nürburgring.

All the other over9000 hp German shitcars are built for the Autobahn, Porsche being the only one keeping it real on the track.

fuck off, ff can go 300kph asshole
delete the thread piece of shit

DUDE JAPANESE LMAO

Probably because finding a transmission that can handle it is/was a problem.
Not saying it isn't or wasn't done, but I'd imagine durability would be a problem long-term.

Why do you think so?
Transmissions for FF seem to be of a simpler design than FR - what's the issue?

FF
CANT
COMPETE

I mean Porsche makes grand touring cars (more suitable for the autobahn) as well as track oriented cars.

damn i thought ff shitposters were gone

These are all Corey posts, ignore them.

>Porsche makes grand touring cars
Well yeah, these are usually not really considered Porsche by the Porsche people.

Because 911 was payback for Hiroshima.

I wouldn't say that a FF transmission is simpler. The diff is part of the transmission there, which adds more complexity.
You'll need high-quality, heat-treated internals that can take the torque of a high-output engine, because you're going to be making much more torque than was ever intended. Just as an example, I'd imagine Porsche 911's, another transaxle car, would all have the same transmission. They're already built for power and high-performance application. You especially need this if you drive like a moron and "shock" the drivetrain.
You probably need ratios that will let you get up to 300km/h because the factory transmission never had that much speed in mind. Those components also have to be high-quality as well.

That's not true, I'm not Corey
Top one is

...

You're right about the diff but internals for torque really only matter in the first gears.
You can get to 300 if you take your time, I guess - hard acceleration kills the transmission.

>Porsche 911's, another transaxle car
excuse me?

Not the guy you were talking to but yeah 911's have transaxles

German and Japanese engineering is the best in the world, but Porsche is just on a level of it's own.

It's a transaxle in the sense that the diff and transmission are one unit. But they're mounted longitudinally unlike most FFs

I see

F
F
sucks

Checked and kekked

NO U

Yeah that's true, obviously an FF transaxle is different from a RR or AWD type but it's still a transaxle and just about every person, whether they're a Porsche person or not refers to it as a transaxle.......because that's what it is. So why did you have a problem with him refering to it as a transaxle?

>am not trying to be an asshole, just genuinely curious

how about you show me one (1) (uno) single) (l) FWD car that can join mid night club

Porsche FR cars are refered to as transaxle usually

>Why do the Japanese like 911's so much?

Wait... Are you saying that you don't?

The 911 an iconic quintessential sportscar. People like it because it does what a sportscar is expected to do.

>posts a pic of a japenese person driving a 911

>HAY GUIZ WHY DO ALL JAPS LIKE 911S

i fucking hate what this world has become
all of you are fucking retards for not saging
and you are the reason we as a human race still suffer

When the Japanese and Germans collaborate on something, great things happen

You're late for the party

Yeah that ww2 collab turned out great for them

Without it you wouldn't have a shitty Mid Night Club video game made by Rockstar

It's not all good guys
>tfw I missed out on the meetup with this nigger

>no fwd cars
Hmmmn

Anyone got some mid night club pictures that they can dump? I love them the most.

>stock fwd
>performance

...

What the Devil Z is based on.
Has L28 with twin turbos

...

Corey pls stop

None of those cars were stock

apex, i thought you died when /scg/ & /nsg/ died

>"FF Can't Compete"

Every car on this list would like a word with you

>5.2 seconds to 60
>all torque is available at 1800 RPM
>less than 36k brand new
>currently sold for less than 30k
Why haven't you switched to EcoBoost® yet?

yea i havent posted in a while. found out i had a clog in my cooling system which was causing my cooling problems the whole time. id like to start /nsg/ back up

...

still dailying the 240, or get a different car while it was down?

can't turn
ford unreliability
pigfat etc

>unreliable
The engine is really reliable though.

Sounds like someone who's never driven one

dslreports.com/forum/r28294741-Ford-sued-over-defects-in-3-5-L-Ecoboost-engine

>2013
Yes and they update the engine yearly. Care to show me that same problem in the last 2 years. Oh, right. You can't because they already fixed it.

consumeraffairs.com/automotive/ford_taurus.htm

>literally cannot find the same problem
>picks out one car that broke at 30000 miles
Atleast he got to the 30,000 miles mark. Sadly, the same can't be said for the corvette.

>meanwhile at gm

Wow! What a shitbox.
I was gonna buy a Ford but definitely not now..
Thanks anonymous!

No, you weren't going to buy anything.

my sides
consumeraffairs.com/automotive/chevy-corvette.html

but pre-996 911's have an 89.5" wheelbase and an EF civic has a 98.4" wheelbase. A 911 and a fucking CRX are comparable in wheelbase.

>ford got more than 5 times the reviews on the tarus
>literally the same exact score
Holy shit, I CAN'T BREATH!!!

>a tarus is more reliable than a corvette
KEK! GM BTFO!!!!

No prob homeboy glad I could help !

>a tarus is LITERALLY more reliable than a corvette
kek btfo!!

>post yfw the ad recommends transmission problems
BTFO!!!

A TARUS!!!! GM BTFO!!!

THIS IS WHAT MEMES ARE MADE OF!!

STOP I CAN'T FUCKINGG BREATH!!

why do Americans love 240z's so much?

I don't know why I just know I can't resist that fastback/hatchback/whateverback shape
