Previous thread:

Don't die yet
'tis too young to die this early

If I messed up on a few quests, failing them, will I be able to do them over in the NG+? I messed up one or two now. I'm not getting that hero achievement.

>try to romance the duke's suspiciously young wife even though I'm a grey haired old man
>find he's a drunken wifebeater
>bitch sends me to jail but I'm somehow supposed to feel sorry for her

Did you save her or just watch?

I saved her

Sometimes i wish i could just take that toothpick you get at the very start of the game and kill grigori as a sort of hidden early ending, would be fun and challenging-ish. dragonforge that toothpick

I always thought it was just a regular cutlass or something

Damn it I hardly knew Valmiro but this shit still made me sad as fuck.

yeah but it gets stuck in grigori's hand, basically looks like a toothpick

I felt that with Reynard
I get all that shit and journals for him, and he just walks away?
I thought we had a connection.

Are small characters viable?

I just went 2mt strider -> assassin -> ranger

Now I guess I'll go magick.
Its a good idea to go mage -> sorcerer -> MA?, or should I stick some strider levels in between?

NG+ essentially resets everything besides the Items/experience

Fuck min/maxing if the classes arent fun for you.

switching from a 1.90 male to the tiniest/thinnest female possible didnt really change a lot for me

I find switching between something that's at Very Light to Light with just gears and essentials is different

I don't give a shit about minmaxing when you can just kill everything with blast arrows and make pawns carry them.

But I don't want to be stuck either doing that or cheesing for 50years a single boss because I do no damage.

Yeah it's just the thresholds that are different, i think it's the bigger characters that have a higher very light to light threshold

Yeah, but heavy Very Light characters don't appear to be noticeably faster than Light lighter characters.

you can only really see the difference if you use gale harness or something to increase speed, light and very light are hardly different but since those are multipliers it's noticeable

>Are small characters viable?

Nope.

So what level should I be if I want to try Bitterblack Isle on NG+?

I forgot about it on my first way through.
I'm level 54 now and everything went pretty good untill all enemies suddenly took a serious jump in stats around the time you meet death for the second time and now I barely make a dent in enemies.

Great game, though I wish it was longer and the world alot bigger.

It's not really game ruining if I basically fucked up all the idol quests, is it?

nah.

there's no difference between NG and NG+, it just lets you start the game over with your old character

Is Bitterblack Isle supposed to be this hard? I play on normal and the main quest was easy, almost to easy at times.

The first half of Bitterblack Isle was also easy, but shit suddenly ramped up 30 - 40 levels in difficulty.

I cant even kill Eliminator because I dont do any damage.

What the hell am I doing wrong here?

most of it is probably just a need for level grind, what class/gear are you using

>Level 200 pawn with gold forged gear
>Master is a low level with only 4 hours of play time

Fighter, bastard sword lv 3 and some armor I dont remember the name of, but I dont have any issues with defense.

What do your pawns do in fights? how much are they lingering instead of attacking?

My pawns, a fighter, warrior and a mage are pretty agressive, none of them make a dent either, all of us are around the same level, 54.

What level were you when you did bitterblack isle?

I never had dark arisen on ps3, just the vanilla. On PC i've only ever done hard mode, i was ~80 and had a pretty cheeky supply of blast arrows on my pack mules for bosses

The old pawn sheet is ded, guize.

>bastard sword level 3

That's your problem right there. Most pre-dragon Gransys gear is worthless in BBI unless it's at least silverforged, and even goldforged, most of it is a little subpar.

You need a better weapon, or you need to dragonforge it and then have Barroch rarefy it.

It's dragonforged, but by the time I got 3 diamonds barroch was nowhere to be found, now I suspect he is at a point after the boss I am stuck on.

to bad most weapons that are any decent are ugly as fucking sin.

Minding my own business escorting the oxcart with the hydra's head in ng+, cart hasnt even been damaged. Open the gate where the goblins are and my fucking pawn hits the cart with the triple explosives sitting on it, byebye ox you will be missed >.>

BBI is basically meant for postgame. I think most people start it around 70-80, so maybe just try coming back when you're a bit better leveled and geared and see how things work out.

You could also try and rush in and hope for good BBI weapons/armor before you die horribly.

>drunk
if only

Not sure which boss you're on, but Barroch is always in one of three places pre-Daimon. If he's moved on from the Duskmoon Tower, he's either at the rest area just before the first boss, or the rest area further in.

Yeah, I find that weird. Especially when I hired a 35 pawn with level 3 BBI gear and weapons and owner only has 9 hours of gameplay.

At least it wasn't like that other user's story
It was something along the lines of:
>playing hard mode
>escort hydra head
>Gran Soren just in view now
>ox going too slow
>decide to kick it
>one-shot-killed by the ox

that's what happens when people with the intelligence of a pawns ai play hard mode i guess

COMMENT ON THE CATHEDRAL YOU FUCKING CUNT. GET THAT LAST GOD DAMNED STAR

Return to Title Screen

Where did you get the OP image? Is that an anime based on Dragon's Dogma?

pls tell me, what cathedral do I need to go to for my pawn to comment on?

> also trying to get my 3rd Gransys autism star

probs fanart

...I just thought about your beloved, and how nearly anyone can become your beloved... Does that mean i could make an old man character and make pip my beloved? japanese games are the stuff of nightmares

Warning to new players stopping in - if you post in this general you may face retaliation from Veeky Forums mods. Examples include your posts disappearing or someone anonymously reading your old posts back to you on another board. Have fun!

Reviving this from page 9. Why doesn't A Bookkeeper's Bind show up on the notice board? I already cleared the mine and talked to the Duke.

I found it on pixiv.
Just fan art.
Sorry to get your hopes up

have you tried reloading the game/save? is it the right noticeboard?

yeah ive restarted the game a few times. maybe its because i bought the promissory note before the quest showed up.

that'll do it

oh for some reason I thought finishing the quest would give new merchants in the quarry. so im not even missing out on much if I dont do it

Oh, this was just for Gran Soren
Turns out that somehow, she had never commented on the Black Cat, despite having visited it multiple times over 126 hours

>just defeated the dragon
>went through the credits
>back in Cassardis
>start to head on to Gran Soren
>use ferrystone
>game crashes
Oh shit. I hope my game saved somewhere after that fight

It should've in cassardis.

killing the dragon is a poor mans ending

>Not walking

Yes, it did. That's a relief.

B-But I didn't want to sacrifice my beloved.

If your beloved is anyone but Feste they deserve to be sacrificed.

Is it possible to get multiple Abyssinal Outfits by completing Hard Mode a second time?

yes

pls niggas someone gift me blasphemers cloak

Hi

Can't gift purified armour like that
You have to farm bbi level 3 armours until you get.

The true never-ending circle

Doesn't vocation have different base running speeds anyway?

iirc only assassin.

so the shit dribbling from his beard wasn't alcohol? Hmm

The dude's fucking insane

does anyone else hate how the arisen comes across as a total social retard in pretty much any of the cutscenes?

I though he was having vivid hallucinations.

>someone anonymously reading your old posts back to you on another board.
Did that actually happened to anyone? Any screencap of it?
How would it not make the mods look like a tool quoting my /dgg/ posts while I would be shitposting on /out/ or some other unrelated place?

Was it semen, the dragon's as part of their deal?

>finished game
>started hard mode afterwards
>blew through it and cheesed grigori with makers finger
>need 20 wakestones now
god please end me. should have prepared for this at the end of my normal run.

Just a couple of Everfall runs or one Ur Dragon

I just feel pretty underleveled because i rushed hard mode so far.
The gorechimera before grigori was already a big problem.
But i guess i just stick to the easier chambers. or do offline ur dragon.

Speaking of ur dragon, is progress on him faster on the weekend?
so far there wasn't much change from yesterday to today.

yeah
puzzles me as to how people think this is an rpg. Its as much of one as ocarina of time with a bit more customization

Aw yiss, I finally got the three most annoying achievements in the game, The Hero, The Sprinter and Hardened Veteran. 3 more to go.

If you really want to blast through, just go offline and fight Ur.

rip cosplay

BEST

I want to slap and scold my pawn for drinking all of my Harspud Sauce without my permission.

how is speed running hard, not that ive ever done a speedrun

It's not hard, but it's tedious, since you can't save.

the record is somewhere around 15 minutes i think. if you are well prepared i think anyone can manage it in half an hour.
there's no need to save.
make forgeries of every needed quest item before starting a speed run
cheese the dragon with makers finger
farm wakestones beforehand

Oh, right... I didn't forge anything. I think it took me 1 hour and 37 minutes to complete it.

>have to carry 5 weapons to switch between because they're all good

which 5 weapons could you possibly need though.. even assassins only need a switch and a half

What do the Authentication Orbs do (Rathalos, Rathian)?

I'm new, and can't find information about this anywhere?

This refers to Dragon's Dogma Online, of course.

>do offline ur dragon for wakestones
>fight seneschal
>wonder what the seneschals gonna look like
>forget i turned it offline and fight my character from the last run
bummer

if it was alcohol he wouldn't have snapped back to reality when the lightning happened.

Here's a hint: What was he talking about when he was drooling? And what was he talking about when he turned into an old man?

it's more that they have useful affects, but I guess I only need the rusted mace, the wand, and Eden's Warden since I usually kill spellcasters pretty quickly anyway, and the Undulant Gold rarely seems to apply the spell silencing at all.

>And what was he talking about when he turned into an old man?

Not that user but when his body suddenly aged it seemed he was reflexively reaching for his wine glass, but just knocked it over. He didn't say anything then. I do think some of his issues are alcohol poisoning.

I mean when you "dueled" him not exactly when he turned into an old man

He drinks to forget, still batshit insane. The moon pisses him off because of his beloved that he sacrificed, probably

>The moon pisses him off

Everyone is pissed about the moon.

Stay alive /ddg/!

What level is recommended to fight the offline UR dragon?
