Not him but Colors would be a nice return to form after Lost World. I'm not big on Pontaff but I thought Colors had some charm to it. Shame Generations and Lost World were gigantic wastes
I don't any american writers on this. I think of the plot leaning more towards 06 but will be done in a way that a lot of people will like there will definitely be some humor added to the plot

Well be that as it may, Knuckles got a huge issue with not wanting to get out of his little island world. A lot of their interactions both pre and post reboot have her getting fed up with him wanting to isolate himself.

Shadow is a complete mess when left to his own devices. You can argue for or against this being a romantic thing but you can't say that Team Dark don't need each other emotionally, even if it's just really good friends.
Hell I don't think Rouge is willing to go half this far for anyone but Shadow

He is not required for Rouge to continue to... function, I guess. Neither is Knuckles. The only thing that is a deep rooted drive that keeps her going is jewels.
