Americans are more close range. You have to use their stealth, because you aren't hitting shit beyond 7km unless it's a BB or AFK. But they become ridiculously good at ambushing other DDs, they can even tear up CAs with proper smoke abuse which is easy when your smoke lasts twice as long, and their torpedoes eventually get about as good as the Japanese. They're built to contest caps and screen for enemy destroyers, whereas Russians are more about long range harassment.

The new mode seems pretty shitty and derived from that other single-big-circle mode that is now only available at low tiers.

Also, it's bound to make DD's fall for the meme and rush straight to the center, sit down and smoke, and consequently get torped since the enemy will torp the conspicuous smoke cloud. And these idiots are bound to always be on your team.

There really is no need to encourage further "dynamic gameplay". Domination already does that pretty well. Teams that don't cap domination bases won't be more likely to do it in this mode either. Instead of trying to add more domination clones, what WG should do is remove standard battles. Like they were going to do before the gopniks threw a fit about "muh diversity".

I'll be honest, my initial post was going to call you out as a baDDie.

You still got shit taste. DD's are for mind games and careful positioning to outplay enemy DDs and destroy them while taking as little damage as possible. The center on Shatter just encourages retarded all-ins and mindless brawl in an enclosed space where you're forced to abide by the rules of the terrain, not your own. It also forces shitty situations in lategame domination where you're pretty much forced to go through the center of the map, revealing your position and putting yourself in a dangerous situation when you can't afford it, to cap another base.

Want a good DD map? Hotspot. Lots of avenues and space for positioning, zoning out, outmaneuvering enemy DDs and even mindless brawling.
