I didn't save it, saw the interview posted in /wtc/ ages ago. He was basically bewildered that it was even a question and had to explain that as an author he is writing what he thinks is appropriate for the characters and story, and that the question was missing the point. It's really no surprise he now thinks the games are for idiots and children.

I used to get annoyed at people that acted like you simply can't tell a story with a game that has any artistic value until I realized they were right. If only because there's no demand for that at all.
