If you're not going to bother after 30, then I feel like powering up a perfect IV Pokemon with a good moveset is worth powering up since you never know when you'll get it.

I found a Squirtle nest near me, I got enough candies to get my first Blastoise within a week of finding it, it's pretty nice even if it's only a handful of catches a day.

Botters keep the game alive, people who actually play are resting or just out there walking their shit up.

There is no "keep the game alive" because there is no fucking multiplayer except for that garbage gym system.

After three weeks, I am now halfway to completion.

I accidentally burned a free incubator so I'll have to save 450 coins for incubators instead of 300 for when the time comes.

Too bad I hatched like 2-3 10km eggs before I understood their value otherwise I'd be almost done already. Alas.

So unlimited for 2 and 5km and save limited for 10km?
it's just that 5km spawn all the time and they only have shit.

The 5km eggs have a pool of 40 Pokemon (39 if yurop).

They are basically there to waste your time and make you think buying incubators is okay.

I want to just go on a massive 10km egg hatching spree with a Lucky Egg. 200k xp from eggs will be delicious.

Perfect Dragonite gains 50 cp per power up between level 10 and 30. After level 30 it gains 25 per. It's exactly half.

I like it more, no more pressure about coins or even spending real dosh.
Tho I'm sure they will add more premium stuff like incubators.
I'm sure gen II (if it happens) will have it's own set of eggs and we will be stuck with only one unlimited incubator.
Also seriously fuck the level 25 rewards, I'm ok playing but I'm sure they will be a massive fuck off sign to most players.

Maybe Gen II can introduce berry trees (or do it in Gen III) and also acorn trees.

Acorn trees were the fucking shit in Gen II. I autistically collected 99 of each ball and acorn back when my Crystal's battery still worked. That was my proudest achievement in Gen II instead of getting all 251 Pokemon.

Don't know how acorns would work in PoGo though.

I agree. I think they should give an unlim incubator every 10 levels. More 3 use incubators as a reward would be nice too. I'm lvl 27 and I'm just going to take things easy.

They probably wouldn't even consider extra free incubators because the concept of being able to forever do more than one egg at a time will kill any motivation to buy their incubators.

It's dead for my area. There's a really popular shopping area that has a bunch of stops and gyms, all the teens and shit hang out there. I had people doing laps with me and hanging out at a 4 pokestop area as late as 3am on a weekday. Now I'm lucky to see 1-2 people at night/late evening. Haven't seen a lure in a week+. Really depressing and killing my motivation to keep playing.

They're adding proper tracking, live battles, and gen 2 pokes eventually. But I honestly don't see the game making it that long before they just thrown in the towel.

I'm convinced spawn rates were different for the first week or so the game was out. Rare pokemon and just a wider variety of types, then it started slowly going to shit. I can't forgive Niantic for this.

I just had a look back at my old screenshots, this one is from 2 days after I started playing in the first week, and while there are a few interesting things, its not abnormal for what is around those ranges in my area in many cases
I have a bunch of screenshots, and the spawn rarities are no different to whats around right now

And you are being gullible, I was in the same train as you, hopeful of Niantic doing something to fix the game but the lack of comunication, features and simple fixes is a clear signal of the way this game is going to die.

Might come back when they and if the fix things but I wouldn't count on Niantic fixing stuff anytime soon.

Also, try switching your GPS settings to GPS-only instead of GPS+wifi+mobile networks and maybe it'll stabilise more. No guarantees. Helps me with gyms that sit next to cell towers though or college campuses with wifi nodes everywhere.

I'm not arguing the the game isnt incredibly flawed, but its still the best phone game I've played, and at least where I live its not unreasonable to get 3 or 4 gyms a day if I try for it
1 near my house will often hold for a good amount of the day if not the whole day, then its rather simple to get 2 or 3 at uni
that being said, I often don't bother getting more than 1 myself because the rewards are rather lackluster at the moment

a thought I had today was that it would be nice to be able to receive candy for the pokemon you fight with at a gym, but you can only recieve a certain amount per individual pokemon, both to discourage farming unreasonable amounts by spamming a single pokemon at gyms, and to encourage variety in fights to win candy for each of your pokemon

They should just work the same as pokestops, give them some kind of rudimentary crafting system so you can make stuff with a temporary effect (e.g. slightly faster hatching, incense effect, etc), or hell, special pokeballs.

I think I used one of each name for the evolutions
I've also caught 2 vaporeons
(one isn't shown because I candied the first one I ever evolved)
I've never been dissapointed with them
every time I wanted a specific one I got it
when I wanted it to evolve into vaporeon with hydro pump I got it, when I wanted a new jolteon I got it
most times I just don't care what it evolves into though

I have 12 in total, 3 vaporeons with aqua tail, and I just evolved a 100% this morning into a flareon. My luck with this game is fucking awful and it's wearing my patience out.

I had one that for a week or so I could reliably get inside, but now I have to get a window signal to reach it because it adjusted my wifi location again or something

If you scroll down there are various options to buy them with money
Otherwise you need to battle gyms, and you get 10 for each one you hold, every 21 hours

Happens to me a lot. Seems to just be a bug. Keep closing and restarting the app. They'll show up eventually.

There's 3 autists holding all nearby gyms with Arcanine / Dragonite / Vaporeon and a couple other pokes, is there any way I can cheese them out of the gyms as a level 7?

Their pokemon are all around 1.5k - 2k, and I live right across a pokestop so I can farm potions / revives and such if needed or whatever. I started playing 2 days ago.

nah, you take 25% from dodging so your dudes will get knocked out even if you fight perfectly

The eeveelutions are just the cherry on the turd, friend, the vast majority of my other evos got duff moves i.e twisterdos, mud/ice poliwrath, megahorn nidoking etc.
