So I am trying to make a good texture for a menu. I'm trying to make something that looks like a wooden frame. Unfortunately because this is a lot larger my brain can't connect how to do it. Does anyone have some good examples.

Struggling to figure out how to do this level. It feels solid so far for a start up until you start climbing up a tower. When the game is based around parkour, (2D pixel platforming,) you can wall jump, slide, etc, so simply going up stairs and taking elevators isn't that interesting, but I'm also trying to keep things marginally realistic.

1) is the first wall jump up to a chandelier in a fancy hotel or mall? Was stairs upward right before.
2) Really big ass chandelier to run across.
3) Literally stairs.
4) For some reason an open elevator shaft so you wall jump up?

I'm really pulling at strings here. Anyone have any ideas?

Witch's Brew. You are a witch who lives on the outside of a small village. People come to you for help. For example the mayor's son may come to you asking for a love potion. From here you could give it to him, and he successfully marries the baron's daughter, growing the village. Or you could give him poision, which kills the daughter and gets the mayor replaced. Or refuse to help, which makes the mayor's son your enemy. Depending on your choices you change the village.

The main mechanic is mixing ingredients to make new spells. Over time you discover new spells, gain new ingredients, and get more power. You upgrade your hit, adding new cauldrons, more tomes, summon circles, a bigger garden, and even imp servants.

If you fuck up too badly the towns people will come after you.

It's a Resource Management Rogue Like, similar to how Reigns does it with more complexity.

Procedural generation is fine, i.e. simply schedule events and make their outcomes deterministic but emergent depending on the game's state.

In GM:S, I create an object that is used to display some text, as well as to be operated on by various visual effect scripts.

I want to attach these objects to other objects, so they can display incriminating values (like damage).

Pic related, this is what I've got - it just keeps spawning new objects instead of increasing the value.

The plan is there for to be fixed and modular events.

Like every 2nd winter a strange fey visitor will show up, but the 1st summer randomly pulls from a list. So it will be a mix of them, and I do plan to have some events require other events, and certain spells to require other spells.

Before doing that, you should learn how to use the debugger. Place a breakpoint right on //Spawn some text and run in debug mode, then step through line by line (and step into functions) to see what your code is REALLY doing.
