I was just coming home from school when I saw the TI6 compendium is up. Since it was my first International ever, I was super excited. I bought it from the first day. I have completed a lot of quests, I also contributed to the challenges. I invested some money in this compendium because I was so hyped about all this stuff I could get.
What have I ended up with, after spending my whole summer on dota? With nothing. Literally got sets only on 4 heroes which I don't play. I got the worst sets possible in this game. And now this TotB treasure comes up. When I saw you can get an arcana or even better stuff I just went all in. The overall value of what I got is 30 cents. Nothing that I like. Nobody likes that cancerous BH set, fucking admit it.
I regret so much buying this compendium which made me spend a lot of money for nothing. I just wanted some cool sets on heroes I actually fucking play. But no, someone in this world, who has his battle pass at level 1, probably never gave a fuck about the quests or anything, might have one of the 25 rarests sets. Or an Arcana. Just for free.
How is this fair honestly? Why does Valve favor some people who are just lucky? Someone is enjoying his 400$ Golden Staff of Perplex out of nowhere. The rewards I got aren't even 25% of how much I spent. Nothing was worth and I regret it and learned my lesson.

luna is an example of a fast ranged jungler with just steroids, because she gets +65% overall DPS at level 1 and +14 damage from level 2

I am not exactly poor. I do well enough for myself to live accordingly to my lifestyle and pay the bills, man.

I'm also fortunate enough to have a house fully payed and actually save a little bit here and there for some trips.

It just annoys me to see stuff like this because I know the value of money.

Throwing away huge amounts for cosmetic stuff in a video game is clearly not the correct thing to do in my opinion.

But well, maybe once you kids get older you too will come to this conclusion.

Also, those 100€ I used as a example was a sum of the whole amount.

As in, you drop in 9€ for the compendium pass, then spend another 20€ to reach the terrain, and another 70€ for the prestige item, etc. etc..

It basically almost rounds up to 100€. Which is in fact, a lot of money in today's age for some superficial stuff as pseudo-exclusive pixels in a free video game.
