Mechanical stars are all great except for the fact that the dominant playstyle is heart cross now.
Also they are featured far more often than anything else, so if you don't really want egypt you might as well hold off.

Sarasvati can work fine with any orb makers you will throw at her, but generally you want a little more variety than with the orbs they target.
On the plus side Awoken Hermes as a sub means you can inherit either a board or utility on your Sarasvati.
