You whiny fucks can complain about phalanx spam all you want. Cygames made MVP one of the most valuable things in the game. As such, they created the environment where people will use every strategy in their power to achieve it. Nothing is stopping you from running HS and spamming phalanx but here's the deal, you still won't MVP anything until you have a near complete pool because phalanx spam alone won't make up for shitty damage.

The same applies to Sparta. Phalanx spam won't make up for a shitty pool. You need to be able to do enough damage to keep up with the others in the raid or the phalanx spam will at best let you match them.

All other things being equal, being a proactive support to the raid becomes the deciding factor for MVP.

Overkill honor needs to be brought back as a reward for people who actually deal damage to the boss.

It may be worth noting that the DPSer wouldn't be able to do as much damage as fast if he wasn't being buffed by rage, DI3 and phalanx constantly.

A good tank takes his DPS into consideration when he does his job. This is true for any game.

And the HS benefits from the break keep. If you're talking on that front then the debuffers help damage much more. There is no DPS class in organized raids. You don't see "Berserker" in any damn sheets, they're all supposed to be supporting the raid with a more utility based class than dps.

I have all 4 races covered with these three. It allows me to run all axes as dark and I can run berserk/dorafs and murder just about any content without breaking a sweat. It also lets me run this water team.

Baha HL horns are easy to come by and I already had the baha axe at SK10 from the ages I spent running sword/axe as dark before cosmos was a thing.
