Is that common during a lowside and does it match my symptoms? what about the throttle control? are they easy to replace?

throttle is 2 wires. are they pulling? need some more info than 'its not working.'

I wouldn't call it common, but having the reservoir on it's side is a great way to kill your brakes
Most throttle locks are electronic if oem and mechanic if aftermarket...
In both cases i'd just buy a new one

That's basically my bike, but that's an '09.

Mine has black clocks, full steel exhaust and different bar ends.

I have fitted it with Michelin Pilot Streets, sub 1k mile chain and sprockets and it will come with new front brake pads to be fitted. (Was planning on servicing the fronts. They work, just not outstandingly.)

Change the indicator of yourself man, it's easy as shit.

Literally just take the side fairings off, unplug the broken indicator and unscrew it, then reverse the process with a replacement indicator.

thanks user, the throttle works (I can see the cable go in and out but is only responsive when It goes out a lot) so the throttle is SUPER loose and the idle I had on it before makes it stall easily

No excuses, breh. Mine are 7 years old, cracked and squared off. Rode for two hours in heavy to moderate rain the other day and didn't crash. Better brake control and forward planning is the answer.
