he's pretty much a pure skill hero that relies on positioning for the majority of the game until it turns into: x yourself -> blink -> pray for crits

It's pretty obvious that puck is referring to dota as a game in all of those. In universe, each game of dota is a projected battle to end the eternal fight between the two ancients. It should hardly appear to be a game to any of the heroes.
