But it was a start. From this I started building planners and trackers that could measure my progress and suddenly these goals didn't seem so impossible. A personal mission statement, a journal for my thoughts, suddenly I wasn't a stranger to myself anymore.

So what keeps me going? Inertia, not unlike how you feel when bored. Except this time, I choose the rails that will help me live a better life instead of wasting the present.
