/hrg/ - high revs general

You may only post in this thread if you have a car that redlines at 8000 rpm or higher.

my kart redlines at 21k you mad?

...

ITT: hondafag circlejerk

no, not mad at all. Welcome to the thread! Post your cart bro

>your car

nothin wrong with honda m8 :)

Trips of truth right here. However, you cannot forget the S85B50 (E63 M6+E60/61 M5), the S54B32 (E46 M3, 01-02 E36/7 MZ3, E85/86 MZ4), and the S65B40/44 (E90/92 M3). And most Mazda rotary engines. I figure Ferraris, Astons, and most Porsches are outside of Veeky Forums's affordability range.

>nothin wrong with honda m8 :)
Nothing but one good sports car and subpar econoboxes for the last decade, absolute worst driver base of any car etc.

They're still the best option

>Subpar
>Best option

B8

It's a Corolla btw.

Not a pic of my unit but have one.

hey, everyone has different preferences. it sounds like you've met the worst of the fan base, which sucks. They really are great cars and I'm sure if you gave a b or k series a chance, you'd see why people like them.

No, it's not bait just because you post stupid bullshit then can't defend it.

...

Fun fact, two diesel engines turning at 4000rpm each is actually 8000rpm.

well im pretty sure my car redlines at around 8500 but i rarely go past 7000 and to be honest the last time i did that was at least months ago

when i do hard revs under bridges i lose hearing

>not revving 8k in 2 lane tunnels

4A-GE's rev to 8k

Itt NA low tier cars

No limiter life means spinning up to 8500. Do I count?

based XRS model

back when Toyota made cars people wanted to drive instead of mall-crawlers and mommy-mobiles

Fanbase is shit, but the Civic Si didn't get shit until 2012. Their other cars have been shit since '06 though.
>XRS
Would drive.

Except they only sold like 7000, before ending production after two years. I guess people didn't like 6 speed manual only.

>tfw want 1988 ae92
>scared of it being a lemon

8k redline
8250k limit stock

Did someone say s2000 thread?

suh dudes

A-am I good enough, senpai?

auto/10

I bought an Rx8 the other day which revs to like 10k so I guess I can post here

Rsx-s reflashed
8300 redline
8600 revlimiter says fuck off

AE86 with a 20V silvertop. Am I welcome?

>16V cluster has a redline at 7600 RPM, but 20 valves had a redline at 8000 RPM.

Here we see the rotary powered automobile in its natural habitat.

Good thing you're using a rotary lift to lift the rotary.

>the engine fell out
does everything you touch turn to shit?

kinda

>implying I need a sky high redline with a 400 hp V8

what car is that? dash looks familiar

>having rev limiters
>not revving past 11K
>for ~250€
To be fair it's still just 50kW

>cooking your engine to experience 11k RPM
>not buying a 400cc bike

My car redlines at 6800 but you can't stop me from posting.

My Ninja 250 redlines at 14k rpm.

hate-me all you want, it's my second car, costed me 1.8k€
1.6l
160ps
6.8 kg/PS
170'000km
did 235km/h on it last week

revs until 8900rpm

i'm not saying honda civics are the best cars (obvious to anyone who isn't a dumb uneducated ricer) but they are good cars indeed, especially when you compare power to price, these old cars are amazing. of course if i were to buy a brand new car i wouldn't choose a FWD, but hey, i think it was the best car i could've bought with that money, and i'm very happy with it. i've had it for 10'000km and have spent less in mechanics than on 1000km of my previous car ('99 ford fiesta boss 1.8td)

also, vtec yo

S3 RX7

>x 1000/rpm
>not glorious 1000*min^-1

sick revs, bros

>you may only post in this thread if your car redlines at 8000 rpm or higher
>redlines at less than 7000 rpm
Sorry, you'll have to enter a different car user

love the sedan user, I have one myself

No.

No, no, no, no, nooooooooooo.

Your redline has to start at 8k, not end there, you low revving diesel drivers.

that's a very nice engine, user, but you don't belong here because it doesn't have a sky high redline.

Tfw your tach doesn't match actual redline

Tfw 7900 rpm redline

Damn look at the surface rust on dah roters.

I was about to give you shit about your power to price claim, but then I saw you were using euros. Europe has to be pretty rough place to be an enthusiast.
