Pendulums are shit and you should avoid them at all cost.

Pendulums are only good in a deck/archetype based around them, it's really hard to just throw them into something.

Pendulums are strong in some decks. Metalfoes are likely to be tier 2, if not top tier. Performapal/Odd-Eyes/Magicians are probably either going to be tier 3 or maybe low-tier 2 this format. D/D/Ds will be a very powerful deck when we get the structure deck.

Other strong decks include Kozmos, Blue-Eyes, and Burning Abyss.

Speedroids are a decent petdeck, but a small group of them can work in Burning Abyss.

As for starter decks, the Monarch structure deck was the core of a top competitive deck until the latest banlist assraped it.

Roid decks were always complete ass, back in GX only cyber dragons, heroes and gladiator beasts were viable.
