Might as well keep this thread alive with a project I have planned.

I'm working on finding a collection of 4 to 6 stars grouped close together, color variety is important.

I shall name the stars according to a system which indicated the contents of the planets, using short codes.

Once that is complete I'll establish a Home Star, which will be indicated by the highest selling price of certain materials.

Then it will be a matter of running from my other system, gathering and collecting, etc, and completing each planet 100%. This might take weeks, months, who knows, but it's fun.

Just refunded the game. Pretty sad how it turned out. It's the only game out of my 350 games library that I refunded.

Might pirate it if they fix it up or rebuy when it's for 5$ but for now I'm very disappointed.

GoG version makes pirating as painless as it can possibly get. There's no reason to give those trolls at Hello Games any of your money. Even if you really enjoy the product, you shouldn't give them money because they tried to fuck over millions of players. Stealing from thieves is more than fine.

It's kind of depressing that the most interesting this on this planet is that a waypoint led me to both and observatory and transmission tower. I've never seen two useful buildings side by side.

This is interesting, because I think it shows a difference between the pace I'm setting in the game and the pace you're setting. I'm SLOW -- I'm like 15 hrs in and have a 28 slot ship and am on the Atlas Interface system.

I honestly think Sean Murray's team can pull this off without Sony pressuring them, now they have the money to make the perfect sequel.

You have to repair and refill the Launch Thruster, you ALSO have to repair the Pulse Drive but don't have to refill it (which is odd, and a fair but more costly than the Launch Thruster). If you harvest every ship you find/use, you only need to keep Zinc stocked and the rest you get from breaking down components. Granted you have inventory space and frequent traders to offload the unused materials.

This is based on the August 20'th-ish build, so correct me if that's changed.

They have a really good foundation for a fun game. They don't have to make it into a battle game, but they should give it some content above and beyond the experience of looking at and gathering scattered resources. Alien beauty is only entertaining for a while, even if it is just a "chill" game.
