How much of a difference does ilvl make in total dps?
Most of my jobs are in the upper i220s, with mostly melded crafted gear or WC stuff and a few 240 pieces, and I dunno if that's hurting my dps a lot or not. I've got 230/240 weapons, but my armour is mostly 220/230 with a smattering of 240 pieces.
You online right now? I'm a midlander away from my desktop that could use the run sometime.
I'm not sure myself, if you want I could do a couple of parses in my BiS set and my old 220 crafted stuff for comparison.

Why is Defiance excluded from Global Cooldown but Grit isn't?
I'm looking for something to do ingame out of boredom anyway, for starters I do remember doing about 1000-1100 DPS on a 3 minute dummy as a MNK in full prototype gordian with Ravana fists before a1-4 savage's release, don't recall the exact ilvl of that though and at 240 with 245 knuckles, I'm gonna guess it's around 2000 now.

grit/sho are on GCD because they give instant %dmg reduction. defiance gives you maxHP% but doesn't restore maxHP%.
so if grit and sho weren't on the gcd, drk and pld would have an instant 20%dmg reduction ogcd with no drawback/cooldown.

Oh sweet, that's actually the job I was wondering about. I've been maining a MNK since 3.2ish dropped but since I don't raid I'm only i227 with 3 pieces of 240 gear (chest, relic weapon, bracelet) and crafted everything else (except for WC legs,) and while my dps is decent (around 1.8k-ish on a dummy,) I wasn't sure how much I was losing out on by not going for i239/i240.

It gets way better later, except at level 45-47 were it comes back but at that time you can ignore it.

Alright, I did a couple of 3m dummies with BiS and got around 2070 DPS on average, switching out to full crafted/prototype midan at ilvl223 (with 240 relic, 210 eso helmet, and 240 ring because I couldn't find my 220 bits for those slots) had me at around 1805.22 DPS for the one 3m dummy I did with it.
