What if their was a card that prevented level 4 or lower monsters from fusing, synchroing, or xyzing, and took away the effects of level 5 or higher non-fusion/synchro/ritual monsters?

As long as it targetable and has no immunity, that would be fine to me.

Because gadgets are light for tsukuyomi, and also if they die before they serve their purpose they get a replacement.

I was wanting to get back into YuGiOh, I played Igknights before leaving and haven't been able to keep up too much. I know that right now Blue Eyes and PKBA are good. What else is going to be good this format? How would I start building them? Was wanting to get cards and practice before one of these next regionals.

I can't really think of any deck that wouldn't benefit from an additional normal summon besides degenerate shit like Exodia and Chain Burn.

ABC (revamped version of Kaiba's XYZ) is coming out this year in a structure deck, and people expect it to be meta. Both new TCG exclusive archetypes (Subterrors & SPYRALS) are inexpensive right now, but there's no way of knowing how they will turn out. Kozmo and various Pendulum strategies will probably be nipping at their heels. There's a new rank 2 frog coming out that is hype. Frogs, Aqua Actresses, Mermails, and any deck that can make a R4 with two water monsters can use it.

That's the exact layout of the Wal-Marts, and Targets in my area as well. Sometimes the selection by the kid's toys at Target has older sealed product. I found the old Ancient Gear structure deck unopened repackaged along side some older xyz monsters like Utopia and Draccosack. They actually had the Cyber Dragon structure deck around the time BOSH first started getting spoiled.

The structure deck doesn't come out until mid-october, I'm trying to go to the regionals on October 1st. What deck do you think will be the better contender then? Thanks for the other info though! Much appreciated!

All big corporations have a homogenized layout and products with a few colloquial items like seafood at a japanese mcdonalds. Though usually places like target and walmart issue an old merchandise form on products over a year old in an effort to sell them to a third party. I'm fairly sure this is where target and walmart get their value cubes from.

The value cubes+card packs are partially old products and partially products that had damaged packaging actually. There's a reason why you'll sometimes see the newest released set packs inside cubes.

I've been looking over Gladiator Beasts for a while now.
What year did this deck come out and why was it considered good? Nothing in it generates advantage and it depends on you living to the end of the BP so you can tag out instead of tagging out whenever like Kozmos do.

Corporate store layout varies slightly by region within the US. When you travel you notice it. One user posted that his local Wal-Mart does not have the same layout for example.

GX was a hell of a drug.

They have 1700+ beaters with (at the time) good effects back when that meant something.

If that isn't your keep of tea then your most viable option is going to be Blue-Eyes probably. Good luck dueling.

Brick-Eyes might brick hard, just Buster Brock bricks even more.

Buster Blader is a Brick Blader and not that good specifically against BEWD decks. Still a decent little deck that can get pretty big.

Buster Blader is just a meme, don't buy into it. It's only decent against dragons and anything else it gets destroyed hard as fuck.
Basic Floodgates like Vanity/Jowgen/Ophion easily counter Blue-eyes.
Cycle Reader also helps to disrupt plays and leave the deck crippled since it can't recover from banishing.

He has Xyz to go into, so that automatically makes it better than Brickster Blader.

The biggest problem Buster Blader in a matchup against BEWD has is that it can get fucked over by Alternative pop pretty easily. Other than that, it has the advantage provided it doesn't brick itself to death (which is admittedly a tricky prerequisite), especially going second if it doesn't get disrupted while setting up a Dragon Destroyer to just outright OTK with all the dragons in the BE player's graveyard.

Gets dicked by every other meta deck though. Especially Kozmo, Kozmo doesn't even give a fuck about any of the equips.

Just accept your deck is shit, you'll feel better that way.
You can win against Blue-eyes since your deck was meant to kill dragons but enjoy getting raped to death by Kozmos and Burning Anus.
Even Monarchs and Pendulums shit on Buster Blader and they're dead as fuck.

DNA Transplant is only good for Cyber Dragons. There's also the issue of getting one of your Bricksters on the field first, which is difficult because his support is bad.
